Do you guys have a copy of the conference saved somewhere? Do you think you can upload it on your site? I missed the whole thing. :( Or better yet, does anybody know where I can watch it if it has been uploaded elsewhere?
I'll agree. I hate MetaCritic as much as the next person, but if you think they are burying reviews just contact them explaining they missed one. Then they'll have to add it. Of course, you need to make sure it comes from a source they accept: you can find a listing under the link 'What is a Metascore?' on the left-hand side of the gaming section. I can tell you for a fact that the editor will listen. A recent example would be Eurogamer Portugal's review of God of War III. They must have forg...
I'm actually not expecting much. My guess is they're saving it all for E3. That'd be nice: more demonstrations like the one they did for Uncharted last year... a man can dream, can't he?
So stoked for this game. Even more so now that they are taking inspiration from LOST. :)
Regardless, if one was to go by these comparison shots, they'd realize the PS3 version has much better contrast and is incredibly clear. I don't know where they are getting the idea it looks worse. It looks actually quite a bit better than the 360 version. So much so that if I were to decide to give this a shot, I'd pick up the PS3 version.
Not only that, but Metacritic weighs individual review scores. They say it's because the writers have been "gaming" for a lot longer than say TotalVideoGames, which doesn't make a lick of sense. Especially since they ignore the writer and weight it according to the individual site. They could've hired a freelancer, or, worse, newbie, over at Edge and they still would have rated it the same.
I hate MetaCritic with a passion, and how much developers depend on it. If you'r...
IMO, Heavy Rain is an instant classic. I could give a flying f#ck about what reviewers think of HR. Besides, they lost every ounce of respect I once had for them over the last generation, which in my opinion is a good thing. God forbid I make a decision on my own.
P.S. I still cannot for the life of me figure out why ME2 has a much higher score than HR. I've played both and found each to be very similar in quality.
Um... there's been six Wild Arms games released since the first.
Wasn't MotorStorm: Pacific Rift announced around the same time two years ago? Then again, so was Resistance 2. Beats me. I'll appreciate any new game Sony has to offer.
Let's be honest here, anybody interested in getting the PS3 version will probably stick with the PS3 version. Especially since a lot of fans interested in picking up a PS3 solely for FFXIII will pick up the Slim version, which isn't even affected by this issue. Those that don't, and are stuck with the Fat, will probably stick with the PS3 version being as it is an OFFLINE game. Seriously people, could we at least use our heads here for a second. I highly doubt this issue will change anybody's...
Has no one ever synchronized their trophies whenever logging in on different systems? This should have been obvious.
I like to at least try all systems before forming a verdict. Therefore, I'll support Apple. I don't believe the 3rd party BS. I'm sure there'll be first party titles. They wouldn't make it otherwise. Why create a system if you're not going to offer anything different from the consoles already out on to market. No, I'll support them. Hopefully, it's good, and encourages more competition. That's what I love about this generation. By purchasing their system, I'm hoping that the competition will ...
This game is harldy niche, especially after clearing 500,000 in its first week. I'm surprised to see it clear half a mil so soon. I predicted two mil by the end of the year, which looks on target with the latest sales reports. Matter of fact, even better than expected. It's a nice surprise. I honestly hope Heavy Rain sets a fire under the gaming industry. We need more narrative in games!
lol This is hilarious. I remember stating this game would clear two million within the year, easily. So many disagreed. What now? Just like I predicted. 500,000 is better than even I predicted at the time.
Game froze on me once at the beginning of the game and there were a few segments where the framerate dropped, but that was about it. Nothing really that dramatic. Game ran smoothly for the rest of the ten hours I played it.
Despite the questionable source material, I'm honestly not surprised Heavy Rain has sold as well as it did. Am I the only one who saw this coming? Heavy Rain is indeed a big hit. HR delivered in every possible way. This is sure to be a highlight of 2010; moreover, this generation. The ending was one of the most satisfactory experiences I've had with a game. I'd even go as far to say that I have never played anything nearly as emotionally draining. What a rollercoaster! I can't wait to play it...
Wow, wholly agreed. I will never understand the large gap between the two. Never, and I've played both. While both are two of my favorite games this generation, I can't help but laugh at the people who think ME2 is THAT much better than Heavy Rain. In my opinion, at least, they are very similar in quality. And all those acting like ME2 had not even a blemish, what do you call Jack's mission? lol
Hell yes! Madison had the best fight scenes. I loved the one where those three shady dudes break into your apartment. F#cking scary!
Also, the one with Norman at the end was awesome.
Not surprised. Am I the only one who saw this coming? Heavy Rain

HR deserves all the sales it can get. My...
I want one for Uncharted 3 (you know it's going to happen :D ), but it seems pretty expensive. Hmm... maybe next year. There's no way I can afford a decent 3D 1080P HDTV this year. Wow, that was a mouthful. What's next?
