I'm honestly tired of GOW. GOWII was not nearly as good as the original. It was an epic adventure with absolutely zero depth. Stig Asmussen injected philosophical and psychological subtext in an otherwise shallow game. GOWIII is my personal favorite, and if they don't bring back Jaffe or Stig, then I might not return for the sequel.

R1 was way too long. They could've axed five hours from the game and been that much better for it. The opening levels were boring. But the last half... oh my God! Insomniac are Gods! Well, except for the laughable humvee level. That was bad. lol

I do realize. I fell in love with the original and bought into all their promises. Unfortunately, the second game was a ways off the mark. Can someone remind me again why we're fighting alongside Cerberus? I'm pretty sure, given the events in ME1, the Council would have never let this come to past. Especially since there's proof of their experiments leading to numerous deaths. They're criminals!

It just might be. Did you see the crazy particle effects? I mean, just look at that wind! When has that ever been done in video games? Or, at least, to this effect? The stages truly come to life before our eyes. I didn't even get this feeling for Uncharted 2. It's like Resistance 1, but with an ungodly physics engine. Insomniac, I couldn't be more proud of you guys! <3

Please God forget ME2 ever existed. The story pales in comparison to ME1. You'll be extremely disappointed. Especially if you play the two back to back.
In other news, Vanquish is absolutely amazing. Highly underrated game that I'll probably be finishing up this weekend now that I'm caught up in school (worked nearly a week straight on one programming assignment).
Why bother? They're usually off the mark. Most critics are these days. With as many people complaining about the story in Killzone 3, I'm surprised they weren't around when ME2 destroyed ME1's cannon. Good story, my a$$. It became nigh on unplayable towards the end. The whole Collector and Reaper reveal was just plain lulz: massive train wreck. I'm not even looking forward to ME3 anymore.

Well, it's not like Heavenly Sword was that great either. Granted, Enslaved was worse and definitely not as good as the media made it out to be, but HS wasn't some pearl either. I loved the direction, but the gameplay needed some work.
Depends. A story can make or break a game. For instance I thought Mass Effect 2 had a weak story and was rather uninspired. The highest I could give it is an 8, and that would be solely for gameplay and a couple of the characters. The music in the game was highly overrated as well.
Which weren't nearly as good. I'll take games like Heavenly Sword and Uncharted 2 over any 40+ hour game: unless that game happened to be Shin Megami Tensei or Final Fantasy because, unlike most, they're actually worth it. Everything else deserves to be cut.

For some reason, I'm really excited for this one. Reminds me of Persona 3 quite a bit (in terms of atmosphere). SMT is one of the only dependable JRPG's left in terms of quality. Atlus will pull through.

I don't even think it had "great" character development. It was okay. I only really liked Trip. Monkey started out interesting, but then he just became a walking cliche. And Pigsy was annoying.
Really? I mean I loved DDS as much as the next person (DDS2 has quite possibly the best story in any video game. Period.), but they were in no way better than Persona. Persona 3 in particular had an amazing story and atmosphere, and the polish on 4 was tremendous (the gameplay is simply unparalleled). Don't turn SMT into Final Fantasy.
All the games were good, except maybe the third Devil Summoner, which is still much better than most other games. Let's not turn this ...

Is it really you're stuff though? That's what the DMCA is for. Think of it more as vandalism. When Sony filed a patent for the PS3, they declared to the world that they are the rightful owners of this particular hardware and software design. The moment you hack into and take advantage of their software, you are trespassing. It is not you're right to "vandalize" what they provide to you as a service.

Um... wow at Dead Space 2. It nearly beat Just Dance 2. Just goes to show there's a market beyond casual gaming. Third party is here to stay.
