25 hours focusing on the main narrative storyline?
Alright, I'm game. With low expectations, however, considering GTAIV wasn't exactly "fun", and RDR sometimes derived to boring, even; they're still good games, though.
Makes me wish it was on PS3.
Considering AT is one of those games that has flaws, yet is incredibly enjoyable, doesn't surprise me. In fact, I don't have much hope that ATQ will be reviewed positively, so it's not like I honestly care.
Oh, and the whole stripping lolis thing gives chance to knock off points for "sexism".
Yeah, which is why, IMHO, we should stay in the current generation until tools are easier to use, and technology advances more. Right now is when we're starting to see more creative games in a bigger number for that exact reason, games are beginning to be easier, and cheaper, to make.
And oh, don't worry, publishers and platform holders aren't so stupid to rush consoles into the market, that'd seriously hurt gaming as it is.
...Well, I don...
"by hype logic."
Found a fallacy there, Cap!
Status: Standby; Awaitin' yer' command.
That...is an interesting opinion, even when I disagree with it.
Up to current-generation standards, it may be "outdated", but I believe that's the idea. Instead of "mashing one button to pull something awesome off", you actually have to learn how to play the game. Hopefully they don't pull off the former, because it'd be as fun as the auto-platforming oh-so-common-and-fun these days.
Ah, well.
"This game has stripping girls. It sucks."
What an incredibly in-depth, fully consistent review, alright.
And before someone jumps on me, it's not the score what makes me actually complain, it's the simple fact that, because the game has sexual themes, a oh-so-called-reviewer does this poor job at a subjective criticism and fails horribly, even by current reviewer standards.
I mean, come on.
Honestly, after playing the game until completion...
I've played actually BAD, HORRIBLE, games. Games UNPLAYABLE, which a score of "2" would be for.
This is, honestly, not one of them. It's not the best game ever, and it's full of flaws, but I can say with certainty I actually enjoyed playing through it. It's not BAD, but it's not GOOD, either.
Wow, way to blame developers for publishers' complaints.
Hell, Mikami even says, quoting the article, "the cons and pros of working with a big publisher" are, pretty much those.
Moreover, pullin' the trigger pretty soon, huh? calling a game you haven't played "this shit", "garbage", "crap fests", quoting you there, is not only harsh, but completly idiotic.
Besiders, there wasn't much in...
Yakuza ain't to Triple-A, but it's more fun that the oh-so-called "Triple-A" games out there, for one.
Just sayin'
On a topic-related note, as many have already pointed out, this review itself is HIGHLY subjective.
Must admit, I like that at least SEGA is trying to push the game over here. I freakin' LOVED Yakuza 3, and pre-ordered Y4 as soon as I could.
...Too bad I won't play it right away, though. Ar Tonelico gets priority.
@ARIJayden
Qoga, but of course. Pre-ordered as soon as I could, just like with Y4. The calendar set and everything.
@Cloudberry
Yakuza 3 is honestly one of the best beat 'em ups I'...
I seriously agree with this, honestly, at least Gust and Nisa should have been in the game.
It's an annoying practice, sadly, but hey- not like they're unlock keys, at least.
Taking in account how THQ is a PUBLISHER, and not a DEVELOPER, I do not see the point you are trying to make when bringing up another example.
Nonetheless, I find the deal with Microsoft, among other things, to be quite normal- games cost a whole lot of cash to make, and it's easier to make said money back when you're actually playing smart; taking chances offered to you.
You're missing out on some great games, then.
On-Topic: Heh, I kind of agree. Though it was mostly buildup, Heavy Rain had quite the slow start.
Then again, many games are faulty of boring opening hours, mainly RPGs, so it's really nothing new. Hell, I'm used to it already, one could say.
More like they won't download the patch.
Lotsa Warhammer fans, for one.
And hey, it MIGHT be a good game, though I'm not big into MMOs myself, so I'll wait for WH40K: Space Marine or some other DoW game, though Retribution has me pretty busy, currently.
...He's right, though.
ME consists of generic Sci-Fi clichés- though that's part of the charm.
@MAJ0R
The "checkpoints" were in Demon's Souls, too. Remember the stones that appeared after you beat a boss, that allowed you to go back to the Nexus? Deary me, I forgot their name...
Either way, yeah.
Skipping a seemingly unconvincing game is also an option, for the matter.
It's an actually prohibited practice in America, for one:
