And one of the best rythm games ever.
E.B.A.!
E.B.A.!
E.B.A.!
A genius he is.
We need more men like him in the gaming industry.
Blood, guns and gore =/= Maturity. In fact, when it comes down to material itself, gaming is still one of the most immature entertainment mediums out there. That isn't wrong nor bad, however.
Oh, but right, we're talking about the gaming community here.
Yeah, HOW DARE THEY NOT MAKE MATURE GAMES FOR MATURE GAMERS SUCH AS MYSELF!
A Fuka figure?! Would've liked a Desco one more, but either way...
SOLD.
You seem to have a vendetta of reject against this game, based on, basically, nothing.
Alas, it looks rather appealing, personally- however, I'll wait until I see more to draw a coherent conclussion for this game (even when all I've read and seen about this looks rather incredible, truth be told), instead of commenting in the following (rather generic, much for the irony of your comment) manner:
"GENERIC!11 DURR TIZ BAD"
......
Be wary if you're going to play it, it is indeed a great game, but it's most enjoyable for the niche it has its foundation on. That is, of course, those who are heavily used to japanese animation, alongside visual novels, and the whole pseudo-culture around them.
To put it simply, this is an "otaku's" game. Rather perverted, heavily light-hearted, and usually quirky. If those things don't bother you, then you should, indeed, give it a try, as it is o...
So, "it's not a sequel, thus I won't pay attention to it"?
Come on.
It looks rather grandiose, truth be told. Generic, yes, but since when cliche is bad per se?
Also, way to make baseless assumptions on gameplay, kid. "Clunky"? If you haven't even played it!
No, it's not.
It's actually pretty ugly, even more considering the actually cool RDR boxart.
Should've been black and white, kind of like this: http://img29.imageshack.us/...
Just for PS3 and add the "exclusive content" thing.
@_Empath_
"and it doesn't have that hot dead chick on ...
Sounds like a game I would like.
"(PS. I don't get why they think I'll ever play the game again to unlock all the guns and costumes. What is the point?)"
Uh, I haven't touched this game and probably never will, but...perhaps because -some- will like the game itself, be it gameplay or something else, and have an incentive to replay it and have fun with it?
That's like saying "I don't get why they think I'll ever play the game again to unlock another endi...
Well, that was a nice review I can, mostly, agree on.
It is indeed a great game- if you can get past its rather niche appeal and overall quirkiness, that's it.
So, like God of War?
Actually, Mass Effect 3 was supposedly in development before ME2 was even released.
...That's what I read somewhere, anyways.
More fun.
Keep your fanboyism out of my niche SRPGs.
Please tell me this list isn't by order.
I mean, seriously? God of War and Oblivion over Planescape: Torment, Xenogears and Deus Ex?
SERIOUSLY?
Noot really. It has characters, writing and polish, but sacrifices depth for that.
Uncharted's shooting mechanics are as basic as they get, thus getting repetitive and, truthfully, boring from time to time.
@GarandShooter
Why, from Vanquish to hell, Red Faction: Guerrilla and Mass Effect 2 would make great examples of shooting mechanics avoiding being repetitive.
My issue with Uncharted, you see, is that most shootouts fe...
I must agree with the overall point of the article; I usually have more fun with not-as-well-recieved games than the "SUPER MEGA ULTRA BIG BUDGET TRIPLE A MARKETED TO HELL AND BACK AND RANGING IN THE 90s ON METACRITIC" game.
I 'unno, I usually find them more charming and engaging, despite any flaws they may have. Mind you, I'll take fun over polish, personally.
"There's never been anything like FortressCraft"
Pffhahahah.
"on Xbox before now."
Oh, you.
I deny the request of difficulty seeing as how the combat on the first one wasn't exactly skill-based, but I completly support your statement regarding the storyline progression.
Surely they can make a most enjoyable game this time around, if they don't make any retarded design choices.
