You know, the sensationalist statement he did that this article is based on doesn't piss me off. In fact, most of his review is filled with stupid fallacies not even IGN could come up with, anyways. I mean, dude complains about 3D giving him an headache when he SETS IT TO MAX BECAUSE HURR, the STYLUS, goes to praise Apple again, and after that he cons the fact it uses cartridges, that in his fallacious words "weren't seen since the last GameBoy".
Picture rel...
I thought the article was bad.
Then, I read the comments in said article.
...8/10, I'm almost upset.
Shepard and Bayonetta.
So, you're going to disregard an opinion just "because the game came out a year ago"?
That's a rather weak argument, even more considering the author presents his points pretty well, providing logical explainations against the fallacies of what said awards represent, and how they are NOT applicable to the game.
On-Topic: No, not really. Everything that Heavy Rain did was done better before. All it had going for it was the hype and media atte...
But there ARE muscle women in videogames. Picture related. This one in particular is also voiced by Pikachu, no joke.
"Oh CMON! It's not THAT bad."
Yet another possitive review; though the game holds a 58 Metascore by some magazine review scores that, up to my guess, wrote it off as "hurr girls stripping durr otakus".
Sad, really.
Indeed; it's also why I'm honestly against numerical scores in reviews. Had the guy just given his opinion in it, with no score attached- then fine. But a score represents a certain objectivity regarding the game, which many reviewers don't have. If they just dislike something 'bout it, they'll slap a low score- instead of saying "Hey, I didn't like this, but there are people that could". after giving his own opinion regarding the game.
Ah, w...
"Why would you pay to have the story expand"
It is about the same as sequels running rampant everywhere, for one. Which we all oh-love-so-much, yet not many people complain 'bout 'em.
Just sayin'
Funny, considering the trees used to make paper are planted with that purpose in mind, if my memory doesn't fail me.
But yeah, let's act like the reason behind this isn't saving money at all.
Fuck you, EA. Fuck you.
Review sounds 'bout right, though I'd give it an 8, personally.
Would be lower if the storyline and characters weren't so damn awesome. It's a damn good game, but it does have its fair share of flaws. Namely the gameplay, that DID get mentioned here...
Ah, well.
@zatrox
Agreed with the purge part, seems like you can't do it without shaking the controller hard, either. It's kinda bothersome.
The "big" names?
Perhaps; devolving.
Smaller stuff, however?
Nope.
"Developed by GUST"
Bzzzt.
It's developed by Idea Factory.
Nah, not censored. The game's rated M in America.
Thing is, different rating boards have different values. This game is very heavy in sexual themes and innuendos, but that's about it. Europe seems to be more tolerant of said themes.
Welp, character I'm maining decided.
SUPER SEXY FISTS OF FIRE.
No wonder market's in such an horrible state, then.
In a rather ironic on-topic-note, however; what he said here's pretty...rational, for one.
Not like it isn't stil a valid criticism, though, that certain part of the sexual themes AT has is pretty much hit-or-miss.
For what I've played, though, the gameplay still seems to be the game's weakest part. It's not BAD per se, but really simple and kinda shallow.
That aside, though, everything else so far has been fantastic.
@newmonday
It is most recommended you play the first two, yet ATQ also works as a standalone game.
A rather neat opinion, though I wrote the whole blog post, so figures I'll disagree with it.
To tear your argument apart with the magic of opinions:
"I didn't like the game because of the constant swearing"
Let's start off with swearin'. Only one single character did it, and that's 'cause she grew up doing so. It's not mindless swearing, and it's not even that heavy in-game. Surely there's the &qu...
