@NotoriousWhiz Then you didn't grow up in first couple generations of games. Schools were littered with kids on their Gameboys or playing the TCG. It was no different than the streets being littered with people laying Go on their smartphone two decades later.
Not to downplay it's success or anything because I love the system, but objectively something wildly successful can still be a tad.
For instance Pokemon was a fad back in Gen 1 and 2, but that doesn't detract from its success since then.
Complaining about missing first gen is the most ridiculous thing ever. They've done nothing but support gen.1 since it launched. Every Pokemon from it has been in every core game ever, and the backbone of all spin-off titles like "Go".
The journey is what makes Pokemon what it is. It's like saying Link going on a quest is done to death.
I didn't DISLIKE any of them, but I'll say that the collosi who were where slightly similar to a prior one I enjoyed less. For instance the second "little" collosi, or the second collosi you fight in the water.
Pretty sure their names are simply the codenames the development team called them while making the game. Fans have gradually learned them through reading about the game's development.
"Specifically created". A.k.a, we originally created our assets at a higher resolution than in-game like 90% of companies do, and compressed them a bit less than the console versions.
Oh boy, I always wondered if there were people out there gullible enough to believe them calling what they're doing as "support" and now I know.
Fix #1 - Actually make a fun game that doesn't rely on a good character design to sell it to unware kids.
Clearly it's going to be successful yes, but in judging its success in comparison to other Nintendo consoles, it's important to factor in the fact that they relinquished their handheld line to make it. So technically you have to compare its sales to that of the Wii and DS combined, or the Gamecube/GBA combined.
It's easy to dismiss the idea as the Switch already struggles to port many current games, much less ones made 5 years from now. BUT look no further than Nintendo's own 3ds to see the possibility. The 3ds was marketedly inferior to the Vita power wise, and defeated it thanks to one of the best gaming libraries ever compiled on a system.
The lasting power of the Switch will depend on the very same.
Not caring about 4k is insane? I guess that means the 95% of people without 4K TVs or devices are insane. Thank god we have smart ones like you to guide us through the error of our ways.
We don't know that yet. I for one wouldn't be surprised if they offer a way to toggle between the two.
Um, no it isn't. Typical Nomura is the Nomura that gave us Cloud and Sephiroth "reimagined" with bat wings and scarves, and gave them this false brooding personality that they never had. This change is directly in spite of Nomura.
Uh, they announced Sun and Moon months before they released in the same year.
Brainwashed? Good lord you're delusional. You're trying to apply these dark narratives to very logical business. The company had a system that bombed, and the same company has a new system coming out they hope does much better. There is nothing out of the ordinary about moving on from the failed system as quickly as possible. You're acting like it's free for Nintendo to just keep Wii U shelf space for eternity, just for the minimal profits they'll get for doing so.
Well you weren't the target audience for Deluxe, people who didn't play the original were. Also they explained very clearly how much Deluxe was adding, so you only got yourself to blame on that.
Michiel1989 Yeah, most of that generation of One Piece games were fully cell shaded (iirc). And in no way am I claiming they look good, it's just that I find this game to be a special brand of ugly. As for going downhill, I will say that I was never able to get into one piece from the anime growing up. After reading the manga however, I did a complete 180 on it. The anime loses a good 40% of the charm the original story has, especially when it comes to jokes. The style of humor simply doe...
It's not, nor ever will be a big deal. The simple fact is that for 90% of people hacking/pirating is simply too much work, and it's more convenient to just play it the way its meant to be.
Absolutely no way in hell Nintendo cuts the switch a 100 dollars in just a couple years. Nintendo is iconically stingy, they cut prices only when they have to.
And in this case, you have to realize that they could do no price cuts at all, and still look like a more reasonable purchase to the average consumer than a 500+ dollar Xbox/PlayStation.
