Playstation All-Stars is the only one on the list with aspirations of being on, or higher than, Smash's level. The rest were created to make a quick buck off of the smash formula, namely the Cartoon Network one.
Funny, if the Switch is nothing more than a Wii U reskin, how come all of these "devoted" fans didn't buy the Wii U?
It's almost like your point is complete BS or something ..
Well, the trailer was cool and something different for the franchise....but that music choice tho....
Spot on. It really hasn't advanced since the 90's, the only difference is that gaming companies and developers are in a better position to support what is there now.
It's hilarious that people hate on Go for it's casualization, when its existence means we're MORE likely to get the hardcore title people are asking for in gen. 8.
I'm willing to bet they've recognized trying to balance casual and hardcore elements in recent games has divided the fanbase. So instead they just opted to make a game for each.
If by "people on here", you mean only yourself on every Let's Go article you could complain in, than yes
Firstly, leveling up by catching monsters...in a game about catching monsters, is pretty logical.
Secondly, you still gain experience by battling in Let's Go, it's just not the only way to get it.
What kind of logic is that? Red and Blue are in Sun and Moon, guess those are gen.1 games now!
It's not Microsoft if they aren't trying to solve all their problems by just throwing buckets of money at it.
Not really. The type of people buying a switch during holiday's are typically non-hardcore gamers, i.e. parents and whatnot. And for a console as cheap as the Switch already is, a difference of even 50 bucks is negligible to those buyers.
You mean the same year your joke is from?
I'm thinking it will be like what they did with Majora's Mask, and use the BOTW engine to build a totally different story/atmosphere, but within a quicker development period.
They never said this, ever. In fact the director said the opposite. He said that he feels open world games lend themselves better to the action genre than an RPG.
So basically because their indie games weren't as commercially successful, they are better off making paint by numbers AAA titles they don't really want to make. Got it.
Gamefreak put more into this game than they ever have? Are you high? A good 50% of the game was done before they started work on it. The story was done, a huge amount of the assets like Pokémon models and animations were taken right from gen.6/7, the music is just a simple reorchestration of FRLG's music, etc.
I'm in no way bashing the game for that, I think its smart game production on Gamefreak's part, but it's laughable to say they have more work in ...
Negativity about the development timeframe, not about the game itself.
It's no "My Slut Girlfriend", that's for sure.
Unfortunately their check reached Geoff Keighley's doorstep a day too late.
Oh no, those systems didn't get two generic by the books "blockbusters" that regurgitate every AAA trope in the book.
And nothing was lost.
Will it live up to the original? No. I'm not even sure how a game made now could do for the industry what the original did. But "massive" disappointment? Absolutely not. You could fuck up the entire battle system, and still be left with one of the best stories and soundtracks in gaming history.
