Or....people looking for a challenge can simply not wait in saferooms. Problem solved, and doesn't force casual players to toggle a switch.
It's hard to take the main character seriously, says user with a weeboo icon.
I don't know how you could possibly argue the story of FF7 is weaker than any prior FF other than maybe 6. The story of the early FF's like 1, 2, 3, etc. were solid, but they also didn't attempt much of ones at all. Just "light vs Dark" isn't that compelling, nor are the bosses who are largely random with nothing to do with the story.
Hell, there was a deeper story in most of the FF7's individual character backstories, like Barrett or RedXIII&...
They really didn't. 95% of the glitches were things the player wouldn't actually recognize as glitches without reading online. That's not "major".
Wtf? The end of a console's life is one of the BEST times to buy it. You get the latest model, the cheapest it will be, and already know what games were received well.
People said that would be a issue THIS generation with PS4 and Xbone titles too.
The reality is that AAA development budgets and timeframes are so gigantic now that there's a fraction of them compared to what they're used to be, and only a portion of them are great. That means the Switch not getting 2-3 games a year isn't a dealbreaker. Especially when it's producing ones the other systems aren't getting.
Tales of the Abyss. I haven't played the 3ds version, but from what I understand it's a straight port of the ps2 entry. And that entry is one of the best action rpg's you'll find imo. Highly addicting battle system that is basically a 2d fighter put into a 3d rpg, and the story, while heavily anime trope-ish, is well told with memorable characters and plot points.
Too bad they're forcing you to buy this completely optional app that has free functionality too!
I think it's hilariously ironic that the one developer of the Big 3 who doesn't have a big enough backlog of great games to coast off a system designed around backward compatibility, is doing it.
It's not that the story itself is old, it's that the approach to it in video game format is. 95% of anime to video game adaptations do the same thing, they reduce the story to key bullet points, and interject them between a series of repetitive fights or mini-games. This leads to a story that is nonsensical to anyone but people who have seen the original subject matter.
If a game were to actually have the creative freedom to ADAPT the story to fit the format, I'...
Then perhaps you should learn to read the "OPINION PIECE" tag.
Sure, if you conveniently ignore that the expansion isn't just "get old pokemon".
Except you're making the false assumption that adults only enjoy games made to be 18+.
Fanboys don't want to admit it? You mean there wasn't JUST a giant controversy about the quality of SwSh that split the fan community in two?
Must take a lot of energy to spam the same list on every article of a game you never played.
Progress never will take off until the issue of locomotion, i.e. controlling the player in game, is solved.
The only thing the recent wave of VR has done is dress up the "progress" of VR with advances in other areas, like the advancement of screen resolution, battery life, etc. But VR itself is still plagued by the conceptual issues that hindered it decades ago.
Might want to learn how to spell other's names correctly before accusing them of doing stupid things.
Nice extremist example. "Because Nintendo doesn't want to promote a woman who flaunts her barely covered ass and breasts in game rated pegi 12, that's the equivalent of declaring what they think the ideal woman should be".
But continue blaming your knowingly inept opinion on SJW's. Pro-tip, if you have to acknowledge people might hate your comment to make a point, it's a good sign that maybe it's a dumb comment.
To be fair, 2K20's oddities are actually worth of the phrase "surprise" mechanics. You never what's gonna go wrong!
It's kind of funny to me that people have been proclaiming FF7R to "finally" have cracked the code on doing strategy in an action RPG, while the Tales of series has been doing it to perfection for over a decade.
