Don't think so, they seem to be keeping the single player games as such and releasing online only games alongside them. With mixed results.
I thought I'd seen an article on IGN about how the game has officially been abandoned but it's not something I'm interested in so may be wrong. It's only a matter of time anyway.
It's a shame really because with the same production values but made by a much more competent team it could have been a cool and lasting online game, maybe they should have tried to be a slicker version of Warframe rather than some kind of weak as water version of an online Mas...
It's reviewed pretty well but I was a smidge disappointed that Blasphemous isn't quite in the top quality category of Metroidvania's. I love the overall style of it but a few details let it down a bit. I guess I'm nitpicking because most other games have panned out like I expected.
Yeah it wasn't an interesting enough game to justify a sequel that tightens up the gameplay but delivers a weaker story. It wasn't great in the first place story wise.
I like the idea of a sci fi souls but I don't think these guys have got the creativity to do it.
Depends on the individual, by the time I was a few hours into B2 I had realised how thoroughly sick and tired of the same old formula I was, but other people couldn't get enough. I never got bored of the Souls series for example even though it was just more of the same.
Stating the obvious but a series shouldn't change too much or it risks losing its fans and its identity. Bigger and better yep, change for the sake of it probably a bad idea.
Yeah I imagine that a baseball game might as well not be there for anyone who isn't American. Bit too niche for 50% of what's offered.
I wouldn't be interested and I don't think the first one was particularly successful so I'd say no, don't bother.
To be fair they are famously secretive about future games and there won't be any indication they're working on GTA6 until a polished trailer drops out of the blue.
I know they're still milking GTA5 big time but it's a big dev and the new content for that game probably isn't taking up all their focus. I think they'll be well underway with GTA6 personally.
Love me a bit of Balamb.
I don't think there will be a Borderlands 4. It would be on next gen consoles by then and the graphics and overall gameplay would look ancient. They haven't shown any ability to move with the times.
Platform Adventure is too vague and doesn't refer to the specific aspects of a Metroidvania like the non linear map and gradual unlocking of abilities to get access to new areas. It's just an informal term anyway and if someone is confused about it all they have to do is google it.
It's not for me.
It just is, isn't it.
I liked GoW a lot and it was only the second game I got the platinum for but for me the best game exclusive to the PS4 is Bloodborne. Better and more varied combat, far better boss fights and more interesting environments and lore.
I remember how new Dark Souls' approach to multiplayer felt, and it's still quite unique now, this seems like it'll be similar in that it'll be a fresh and creative take on MP that'll help define the game as a whole, although this sounds a lot more ambitious.
Miyazaki and Kojima are similar in a way, both maverick creative types that think outside the box.
Sounds like he at least thinks he's got something new on his hands, I'm intrigued to find out what it is that he's talking about specifically. Whatever you think about him and the game it's always good to see people attempting something new in entertainment.
Apparently at least six people operate an if you don't like it buy it, if you like it don't buy it policy.
If that looks like fun to you then you're very easily pleased.
Agreed. Great game and it was a huge success so I don't know what the article says it is one of the "least popular in the series". Nonsense really.
Never understood this point of view which is that nothing whatsoever that happens on your tv screen should affect you in any way because it's just a "bunch of pixels".
If you like dogs, which imo the best people do, then there's a certain reluctance to kill them in a game. Same with films, kill John Wick's dog and people will happily watch him slaughter a bunch of human shaped pixels in revenge.
