Looks like HLD with a goofy running animation. It's one thing copying huge franchises to piggyback off their popularity but it's a bit odd making a knock off of a one man indie title.
Exactly what I thought.
I think most people are expecting relatively small improvements compared to previous generational leaps. It's going to be quality of life stuff like improved frame rates and load times and that's fine with me.
Is there a coffin for Bethesda though? It's not my cup of tea but hasn't Fallout 76 been a success? I don't think they'll care much about public opinion when they've discovered that they can lurch from PR disaster to PR disaster and still do well. ESO still going great too I believe.
No doubt the next ES game will sell ridiculously well and I'd guess their sci-fi game will too. I'm not sticking up for them I think a lot of their behaviour justif...
P.T suggests that he can. I imagine he's got a lot of ideas knocking around in the old coconut. I'd like to see him make something like Deadly Premonition but with the flair for horror we saw in P.T.
This is timely for me as I'm currently playing MGS5 for the first time to see if I'm still into Kojima games and would like DS. I played the first few MGS, loved the first couple but didn't get on with the fourth.
I've not got far but so far my favourite bits have been the cutscenes and cinematic gameplay linking them which leads me to believe I'd be on board with DS. I don't mind slow gameplay but I'm not big on stealth.
Yeah I know I played it, if they'd called it Bioshock 3 - Infinite that would probably have been most accurate. Bioshock doesn't mean Rapture so a third game in the series still counts as the third game even if they didn't want to number it.
As we agree by the sounds of it.
Bioshock 4 surely, I know the third was called Infinite not 3 but it wasn't a spin off it was the third main game in the series. They just wanted to give it a fancier name.
Either way I hope it's true I'm more than ready for a return to that world.
I would concede that it wouldn't hurt if Uncharted had a little more straightforward traditional gameplay like timing and aligning jumps because it does make that stuff a bit easy but it does so much else so well.
Fair enough if you don't like them but those characters and the journey they've been on is up there with the best in gaming for me. Love those guys, written and acted to perfection. The puzzles are always fun and satisfying to solve and because of th...
I haven't had a lot of time for gaming this year so I've missed loads but the game I've enjoyed the most is Blasphemous.
These might just be the first genuine comments I've seen you make. Well done.
I love Twin Peaks but I'm on the sceptical side of the fence when it comes to DS. It's not a comparison I've seen before what is it about it that makes it like TP? Just general weirdness or something more specific?
Not really. A jumping sim would involve heavy use of stamina bars, having to take terrain into account and probably feature mini games focused on working out your lower legs. There's a difference between jumping merely being how you get about and focusing entirely on the act of jumping and making it the sole gameplay mechanic.
Bit gutted I'll most likely never play the follow ups. Bigger and better and more polished sequels will make it an excellent franchise. Xbox got a good one there.
Don't be silly.
Something like that yeah, I'd never heard of it but watched a trailer. I was picturing something like a planet from No Mans Sky with a much more in depth building aspect and various environmental struggles like the weather and animals trying to kill you.
Like a cross between Civilisation, Sim City and a dash of NMS with the strand concept of Death Stranding.
It is an interesting idea to have a shared world that people can build on and help or hinder each other. Some kind of (small) planet sized civilisation building 'strand' game could be fascinating to see how it ended up.
It was fun to play the combat was excellent so like you say there's potential. I guess if you think of it as a looter with good action gameplay it'd come across better than to directly compare it to From games.
I'd be interested in the sequel if it improves the weaknesses of the first game I guess.
I'd heard that Nioh was on a par with Souls but that wasn't my experience. Great responsive and varied combat and decent level design but let down by bland environments and repetitive enemies. Wasn't into the story or lore at all either.
I'm not making the same mistake when Nioh 2 gets the same level of praise.
All this stuff is found in mainstream film and tv too. You might have a point if it was unique to gaming.
