It probably is quite slow but you've got one, I'm getting one soon and I don't know about you but I was never that bothered before. It feels like it's turned a corner from novelty to must have to me.
I think VR is going to be the future of gaming or at least a significant part of it, not a fad like 3D. Sony have done the right thing building a solid platform for it.
High praise and I believe it because I love the combat in Souls games but I've heard several times that Nioh does it better.
Sony knows which side their bread is buttered, they aren't going to drop deep SP games in favour of battle royale. A bit of diversifying wouldn't hurt though, I'd like to see them take on Forza and while I don't especially enjoy Halo they could do with their own AAA shooter.
I'm weighing up between Nioh and Monster Hunter World, any advice? I love From games which leans towards Nioh but I'd prefer something longer term and more of a deeper RPG which I'm guessing is more like MH.
Formula for a successful article on N4G:
Step one: say that one of the consoles is the best
Step two: sit back and watch
It's getting old.
One that I struggled with more than any other I can think of was the Smelter Demon from DS2. I've finished all the games but I don't claim to be good at them, I just go full tank strength build and hide behind the heaviest great shields and armour, and it didn't work against him because he got me with fire damage through my shield, so the slow and steady approach was out.
I had to basically learn a whole new playstyle to beat him and it took me ages and so, so ...
It's a bit of a daft headline but it's a well written piece. Makes me want to watch Inglorious Basterds.
Salt and Sanctuary is superb.
If you like kiddie games then yeah it's unbeatable.
Storywise it was nowhere near the best GTA and I've got a few minor gripes with the map specifically the lack of open countryside and desert but it is a fantastic game. It really rewards creativity and there's so many worthwhile things to do.
My type of racing game and I love Burnout so it's promising. I remember being at uni and having the demo for Burnout 2, we'd all smoke weed and take it in turns to play Big Surf Shore. Used to like it when you boosted and the music got louder.
Yeah, no kidding. This series seems like it has aspirations in that direction though does it not? Everyone complains about open world games but how many rivals to Fallout are there really?
I think it's an area that the Metro series could move into, they've got the edge on Bethesda in many ways and it's about time they had competition. It wouldn't mean Metro would have to change its core values, I believe they would have gone full open world with Exodus if th...
It almost seems like she's writing single player games off because she smells something in the wind but the Uncharted series has made a tonne of money and a lot of people happy. Too many game devs seem to miss the point that a large proportion of people aren't social in their gaming and never will be.
I work, I have a family at home and by the time I switch the PS4 on I don't really want to be doing any more socialising. I know I'm not the only one.
I'm happy with how it's been received and I'm going to get it but does anyone else think it would have been better if it'd been more of an open world RPG rather than flirting with it? I think the series has the potential to topple Fallout because they do a lot so much better and it's about time a new contender stepped into the ring.
So what would you guys do with a Killzone comeback? I can't think of much, although I do like the series. I associate it with cutting edge graphics so maybe a SP story driven game showcasing what the PS5 can do might be the best way for it to continue.
If it can see the benchmark for visuals and have that same enjoyably solid gameplay it could push it back into relevance because let's be honest it's been well and truly sidelined. The two things that PS lacks exc...
There are plenty of well reviewed multiplayer only games that have failed too, pointing out examples of SP games that didn't succeed doesn't mean anything.
Sacrifices are going to have to made for Metro. It'll be worth it though, the game looks brilliant.
Yeah it wasn't a big deal and it tied into the idea of Kratos being more human...but it was a bit silly at times. I enjoyed the puzzles but sometimes they felt a bit contrived given what we know Kratos can do.
If it follows pretty much every other technology ever, it'll start off big and cumbersome and end up as small as you like. Think how big and heavy TVs were and how thin and light they are now.
