Don't know why that would be downvoted, who doesn't like a demo.
I'm 35 and over the past 6 or 7 years I've become increasingly jaded about getting excited about new games. I've enjoyed many games in recent years and some have surprised me like Hollow Knight and Stardew Valley so the spark isn't out yet but it's certainly dimmed. The only genuinely exciting game I see on the horizon is Cyberpunk, and more hypothetically because we know nothing about them GTA6 and ES6.
I don't like stealth games and I don't really have the patience to lurk in the shadows listening to conversations to give me a tactical edge...but the Souls series and Bloodborne are some of my favourite games ever. Hmm. It's clearly going to be a top quality product I'm just not sure if it's my cup of tea. I was never into Tenchu much if this is a spiritual successor of sorts.
Yeah it's far too simplistic to say that you can't criticise a game for being repetitive because all games are to some extent. There are many other factors at play and ways to help break up the repetition that some games don't take advantage of.
Looks awful but I'm a fan of the undressing.
Agreed, I didn't like either of the last two MGS games and as far as I'm concerned it's a fact that we haven't seen enough of DS to be sure either way. I like the look of it and it looks unique which is always good but time will tell and that's nothing to be afraid of.
It is but poorer or more remote parts of the world aren't going to miraculously have the shit hot internet connection required to stream so it'll be a relatively limited thing.
Yeah I bet they'll come to regret not making it turn based if they aren't already. It was a headache they've made for themselves unnecessarily.
It was one I was interested in because of the genre but it sounded a bit rough at release. I looked it up a few days ago and it's had updates but I saw people complaining it was still buggy and that they wouldn't recommend it. Dunno what to think really.
I really like the look of the bike handling, looks weighty and satisfying to control. Which is good considering you'll be on it a lot, it might sound daft but I bet you build a strong bond with it over time.
I have to agree that the boss variety was a minor issue with the game. You can claim that they're normal enemies but if they've got a health bar with their name above it at the bottom of the screen then they're bosses. Not only did they have the same appearance and move set (pretty much) they even have the same finishers, it should have been done better.
It only stands out because the rest of the game is so great though and it doesn't detract from that in a...
It'll probably take me twice that, when I'm playing a game I'm enjoying and absorbed in it seems to take me ages. Can't leave any corner unchecked can you.
Agreed, it was a thing of necessity and it did add to the atmosphere but I was happy to see the back of it in Resi 4. Resi 7 showed that you can still have atmosphere and cool cinematography while still being able to actually aim a gun.
I suppose I've seen a lot of grim and dark films that haven't exactly been fun to watch but I've still got something out of them, thought provoking and whatnot. I don't see why that couldn't translate into games.
For example the Bloody Baron quest line in TW3 was far from fun at the end but it's still easily one of my most memorable moments in gaming ever.
It's been driving me mad trying to remember this game, I knew I'd seen a fantastic looking trailer but couldn't recall what it was called to keep tabs on it. God knows what it'll be like as a whole but the graphics and combat at least look superb.
This is a bit naughty hey.
I thought the combat was mediocre and the world was about the same but everything else was absolutely superb, the storytelling was up there with the best that films and tv have to offer.
It's got nothing to do with approaching it like a run and gun shooter, I'm not some mindless person who only plays fast paced games with explosions every few seconds. I play plenty of slow paced games. I just didn't like the gameplay of TLOU which I think of as a brick throwing sim. It was boring.
Great story maybe, great game no. Not for me. I do apologise though I know how precious fans of TLOU are about it.
Wasteland 3 and of course The Outer Worlds both look cool. I've got my eye on a violent side scroller called Blasphemous which will hopefully be out this year.
