Again; this is what happens when graphics are priority over all else. And has become one of the biggest problems in the industry!
Even with a more powerful system, you would likely continue to see 30fps as the compromise to squeezing out the best graphics possible.
The best graphics possible may create a sense of 'realistic' graphical immersion; except due to gameplay and other realistic depictions [such as AI, animation, etc] taking a backseat, the l...

How are you all so blinded? Fanboyism?
With PlayStation Plus now required to play online [on PS4], Sony really doesn't need to do much of anything to maintain current subscription numbers. They've actually only been increasing. You could actually remove the game offerings altogether and it would not change those numbers drastically (just take a look at Xbox Live Gold). But providing indie games instead, as a business, is the best decision. You continue the game offeri...
Come on people!
This is just another game that is way overhyped and will disappoint you all. And you know it!
It really is trivial stating the PlayStation 4 is more powerful. That 50% more GPU power is only 1/16 the overall increase we got (in terms of GPU improvement) from the last generation of consoles, and will likely only be used in exclusive titles. And the DDR3/ESRAM memory setup the Xbox One has is also pretty insignificant; it's just more challenge to get the same amount of juice out. This industry has far bigger problems; including the obsession with photorealistic graphics, holding it ...
“the best place to play this holiday” = Wii U
It's unfortunate it will likely continue to be dominated by an overpowered weapon that dominates every range [BR/DMR].
It's quite ironic the console with the best exclusives is doing the worse in sales, while the console with the worse exclusives is doing the best. And we call ourselves gamers?!
Wait! Could it be?
Promotional Material without every spartan holding a BR/DMR?
Will a Halo title finally be relatively balanced again; not dominated by an overpowered weapon that dominates every range? A return of variety in gameplay? Grenade, Shoot, Melee to return? No &%#$!@# way!
So much is wrong in this article.
Lag Compensation is not a new thing for Call of Duty. It's been progressively dialed up with each new release.
It all depends on the quality of your internet connection. Players with superior connections began to notice it longer ago, progressively getting worse in severity with each new release. And those with not so great internet connections would not have started to notice it until a more recent release (or may even, ...
Titanfall still has lag compensation. It all depends on the quality of a person's internet connection which determines just how bad they may or may not experience it. But either way, if any complaints exist, legitimacy in gameplay probably does not.
Activision will only continue to lie and say dedicated servers are coming soon or they already exist. They simply don't care about anything other then getting your money.
If you defend or purchase the PS4 on slightly higher (and mostly imperceptible) resolutions and higher GPU power (that will likely only be used in exclusives), your an idiot and shouldn't even call yourself a gamer. Xbox One clearly has the exclusive advantage. And you can't use last generation to claim the exclusives are on there way to the PS4.
No one should be crying (or complaining, which ever you prefer), you were able to see all this coming from over a year ago. This game is half-assed and uninspired trash. Open your eyes next time.
Just to be make a couple things are clearly understood;
Dedicated Servers will not get rid of the negative effects of lag compensation. There are countless examples of this out there.
Lag Compensation has been progressively dialed up this past decade within the netcode of many online games (not only cod titles) in the profitable interest of catering to everyone despite the health (or fairness) of competitive online gaming. Players with superior internet conne...
Wait a minute!
There are people out there who are honestly surprised there are, yet again, no 'real' dedicated servers? Seriously?
As someone who has witnessed the lag compensation progressively increased with each new release of a call of duty title; it's really not surprising to say the least. It's obviously been intentional to cater to every possible internet connection out there (includes bad connections) or to make outcomes random (for noobs). You'll soon have connections originating from mexico or overseas taking over the game. And dedicated servers would not the solution; you'd experience the same ...
This obsession about resolution is out of control; who cares! You should be far more concerned if a particular game is innovative and includes exciting new gameplay (etc.), or at least worry about frame-rate and anti-aliasing; which are more important then resolution.
Are gamers too young these days to know better? There used to be constant innovation and variety; and it was just about creating fun and outrageous experiences, and not which console has slightly improved resolution etc. Maybe those days are passed us, or maybe we just need to quit supporting all these generic titles being created and quit fighting over which console is more powerful.
Yet again,
Wii U > Xbox One > PlayStation 4
:)
