I'm sure the new reputation system is already broken. What's to stop "jerks" from just creating a new gamertag when their reputation gets bad enough; they already do this.
"So I'm not going to be able to blame getting beaten on by host advantage anymore?!" ... True, instead you'll get beaten into the ground by everyone with a shitty connection. #lag compensation
I am not loyal to one console or another, but how can anyone c...
It's called the "PlayStation Camera" not the PlayStation Eye! Get it right!
I don't understand how anyone continues to play this online to even talk about that it's become stale; how crappy is your internet connection that you don't experience the insanely terrible, and progressively worse, 'lag compensation' bullshit? Don't you notice players (with better internet connections then you) are shooting where you once were, etc?
They already won over the casuals with Modern Warfare 2 and releasing titanfall on Xbox One!
I am continually surprised by just how many people don't even know what internet package (bandwidth, etc.) they're subscribed to; likely encouraged into the most expensive. All without understanding that online gaming actually requires very little bandwidth (unless your hosting a match) and ping can be far more important. Even with the 'play as you download' ability, bandwidth (and more importantly bandwidth caps) will be an issue for many people. There are definitely more ben...
It's way too late for that. They started alienating fans all the way back when MW2 was released; with it's absolutely terrible game balance, and the lag compensation, which has become progressively worse with each and every new release. Please don't continue to support this franchise!
I am not quite sure why anyone may be surprised by this, it should have been more then obvious something was just not right when the more powerful console (ps4) was running games at 1080p/30fps at the time. Not to mention it was already known xbox one games were running on PC's.
This is nothing more then BS marketing. To start, bandwidth and latency both prevent this from happening. That's a well known fact. Also, it would be the consumer paying the extra cost. And there is the problem of those playing on the console without an internet connection.
Sony and Microsoft should be prioritizing 60fps at 720p instead of 1080p at 30fps. Aren't the majority of gamers currently using smaller 720p televisions, and would see more benefit from a higher frame rate (smooth, clean picture) then the benefit from a higher resolution?
You'd be crazy not to be excited for Knack!
Black Ops 2; enough said.
Absolutely terribly designed campaign with ridiculous set pieces, and competitively unplayable multiplayer due to massive amounts of lag compensation.
Microsoft is sure on the defensive these days, and they just had to mention the unfounded cloud in that article. Just keep digging yourself a larger hole, Microsoft!
May as well just call it Xbox One-Eighty!
Now Microsoft is trying to get everyone to perceive them as the good guy? There were no benefits to anything they planned to shove into everyone's throats. And family sharing would have been far more harmful then used games.
Just like the online polls; almost 80% preference towards the PlayStation 4.

It's not going to be the same as last generation; multiplatform games will be scaled down the line. There are too many variables and opportunities for publishers.
PC > PS4 > XBOXONE > WIIU > LASTGEN > HANDHELDS > MOBILE
Dedicated Servers won't make any difference. You will continue to see 'lag compensation' techniques extensively used and will continue to experience the same bullshit. Just go play any recent multiplayer game with dedicated servers in the 'cloud' such as Gears of War 3 or Judgement, or even Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on PC, and you'll see that players with laggy connections dominate (most of which are from mexico, or overseas).
And these kinds of so called professionals get paid? They're not even really any good honestly, and to be that way towards the competition is just plain disrespectful. It would be great to see them play online, with low ping, stable internet connection, to only get pwned by the lag compensation which makes this franchise unplayable these days.
So it's just another shooter in this over-saturated genre; really? When are you people going to be tired of shooters?
Is that supposed to convince us to buy this game? Ha!
