But edge gets slower over time, lacks even the most basic features, and is glitchy.
And thats been my experience on two completely different PCs, so don't tell me otherwise!
Yep, quit playing this a long time ago because of this. Splatoon has possibly the worse netcode ever in an online game. There is no regional matchmaking and unlimited lag compensation; making it impossible to play competitively due to all the lag! If you don't see it, you're not very observant, or must lag yourselves.
Okay, so there's a couple legitimate mistakes with my list. But why is everyone so defensive? I personally enjoy both PS and XB games and consoles equally, but that's clearly not the case with everyone. Wow!
A list of the core AAA exclusives (no cross-gen, available on disc, no remakes, published by Microsoft or Sony; with Metacritic scores):

It sure didn't help for the netcode to progressively benifit the laggiest players with lag compensation. The delays seen now (from laggy players) are beyond rediculous; constantly killed before they even come around corners or shoot, etc. There is simply no legitamacy at all!
It's really unfortunate there continues to be no regional matchmaking and such unlimited lag compensation. Well, so much for ever becoming playable on any sort of skill based, competitive level. You can dislike this comment now because you personally don't know how to see just how laggy it is (die behind cover, double kills, etc.) and how it benefits the laggiest players. The netcode in online shooters these days are such a joke!
If only they would add regional matchmaking, then maybe, it would actually be playable on any sort of competitive level. There is just no legitimacy in this game with it's atrocious netcode.
Again, everyone should have been able to see this game was overhyped all the way back from it's original trailer! This article only serves to confirm everything.
Yes, turning with the right stick while using the motion controls is an option, but it's simply not any good to help with aiming for the same reasons.
There is always latency (or lag) in online games, and these days, more so then ever, devs attempt to hide it with a ton of lag compensation. You must have noticed at one time or another, dying after taking cover, or the many other visual delays you'll see coming from someone who is lagging bad; no?
Seriously? The motion controls are so terrible!
How can that be you ask? Because of the way it has been implemented into this game. When you return the gamepad to in front of you, it also returns your aim to where it began. This is unlike sticks or even how you use a mouse, and has significant disadvantages. And it didn't have to be like this.
But to be fair, the sticks are just as bad! Why? Because they were made too stiff for making small adjustments. ...
It has been said it's going back to it's darker roots, and that's fantastic!
Now if only the netcode would be top notch and quit catering to all the garbage internet out there; the game would be in even better shape!
I tried to leave out cross gen titles, but realized only now, Garden Warfare should not be in that list. But the facts remain the same; comparatively, these are the exclusive AAA offerings. I have no allegiance to any one console and have no reason to do so.
Almost just a popularity contest yet again! :(
Well, comparatively, PS4 exclusive AAA titles continue to be very slim; and perhaps some gamers are finally starting to realize this:

I find too many games these days often sacrifice better gameplay to prioritize realistic looking graphics, which far more often the not, create a title grounded in reality (gameplay and all). I am far more interested in colorful, gameplay first titles like Nintendo's offerings.
As for 60fps: it's really stupid even graphically not to have an HD image without it. A moving image with it is far more clear and has less judder, ect: 3859d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment
So then, maybe a list of AAA exclusives (with metacritic scores) will show the difference:

If so called gamers actually bought a console for.. well um, games (in particular AAA ones), then you sure would think so! But appearently people only buy into marketing and what they are told to like (cough PS4).
They nailed this game! Gameplay, artstyle, everything! WOW!
Okay, great! No host advantage and such. But let's all prey the netcode isn't catering to garbage internet (giving the advantage and removing any legitimacy to battles)!
