So many reasons NOT to buy digital; if only more people realized this!

Actually, there is already a spiritual successor to WipeOut in development, by the same people:

Remember kids: Big publishers only take the easy way and don't take risks anymore! Greed is taking over!

"Well, it would guarantee that future consoles like the PS5 would not be backwards compatible."

It's these such comments that have me cringe. You can't advance the hardware as much if it's backwards compatable. And that hurts the advancement of games themselves.

It needs to be like the Original, but perhaps take inspiration from Sonic Racing Transformered, and include Submarines! :)

Too bad their controllers analog sticks have such large deadzones! NOT recommended!

I am definetly not caring for the 'Slam Down" ability. That will ultimately prove to be less rewarding gameplay.

Who is stupid enough to buy remasters? They simply can't be doing any good for this industry, and us, the gamers.

Oh, and, Call of Duty is not hacked to death; it's from progressive tailoring of the netcode over the years to cater to every last soul on earth with any sort of internet connection. You know, to generate even more profits; at the cost of all sorts of insane lag! They have opened up geographical matchmaking so far and wide (increases latency), tick rates a...

To everyone complaining about the graphics: Stop!

This is exactly what makes Nintendo great and is one of my soul reasons for purchasing a Wii U. Because they prioritize gameplay, and not graphics (which are intentionally cartoony for good reason). I am so tired of all the generic, photorealistic shooters, grounded in reality, oversaturating the market today.

And Star Fox Zero is doing everything right! You haters!

You can provide more content without microtransactions. Sponsored DLC for instance. And just the act of free content releases keeps many playing and thus showing on friends lists as doing so. That's free advertising to sell new copies.

No one seems to realize that with microtransactions you'll be grinding far more to unlock content (to encourage spending of real money; by increasing the convenience). Is that really something you want to support?

It looks fun and best of all original. Now, if they wouldn't overhype a game for once by showing way too much. Oh, and make sure objectives are varied, and straight forward and clear; don't wish to feel lost or as if im missing out on something, etc.

Who hasn't been waiting a long time for this day! Star Fox 64 gameplay returns!

Nothing to get excited about when the netcode with be trash!

Can't stand the open world Midnight Club checkpoint system (at least give the option to add holographic walls for corners (like underground 2). And WTF is with the camera zoom while turning?

It seems too similar to the first game of the reboot, no change in animations/abilities. I was really hoping for more complex platforming like in TR Underworld.

So unoriginal and generic; nothing about it screams RARE! A hack 'n' slash with Human Pirates; really? RARE is dead! RIP

Now, if only the console guys would follow suit, then we could get refunds on all the broken, lag infested online games sold these days!

How is this not a scam? You are billed in GBP!

3920d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

Agreed; if only everyone prioritized gameplay over all else, and photorealistic graphics (with their inherent expense and risk) were not the must do thing; games of today would be so much better!

3920d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Great article! It quickly summarizes how many older gamers probably feel about the gaming industry we know today.

But it doesn't mention the primary cause for the lack of innovation and diversity: photorealistic graphics! Believe it or not, this inherently causes a ton of the risk. Why? Because to achieve those graphics; publishers need to hire 100's of artists for just a single game, costing them a ton of money and the risk that comes with it.

So ask...
