You'd be kidding yourself if you didn't believe there's a good chance these changes may actually rekindle the franchise. But, while the campaign looks awesome, if multiplayer continues to be heavily catering towards bad internet connections (with lag compensation, a terrible tick rate, network smoothing, etc), putting good connections at a severe disadvantage, it's may as well already be dead!
Not with the lack of exclusive games we're currently seeing from Sony, especially when compared to the Xbox One library of games (timed exclusives or not). And that's coming from someone who doesn't like Microsoft!
It's simply astounding that so many people are this excited for such a generic, incoherent game!
I'm doubtful that it sold all that well. It's simply a terrible game with little value, unless your standards are really low.
As somebody may have already commented; i believe it was actually meant to be another jab at microsoft and their choice to keep 'free-to-play' games behind the xbox live gold paywall.
But it's true 'free-to-play' [and 'skylanders' type] games are really just a sneaky business model that can substantially impact your wallet in the end.

The Halo franchise only continues to get worse. Armor Abilities gave it more variety and fun! They need to quit catering to all the novice players that do nothing but use an overpowered Battle Rifle.
All this exclusive content really is getting out of control, and just needs to go away! It's definitely not something you applause.
If you had watched closely during the first couple trailers released, you would have clearly seen other players with name's (or placeholders) above their characters. So this is not surprising and everyone should have seen this coming. It's may even be a scenario where the city is always populated with real players, and you can decide to play single player, story driven missions, or join others in cooperative side-missions.
For someone who has not been interested in the Fable series; this game is very intriguing! I would absolutely love to see more exclusives that prioritize fun (with interesting art styles) before photorealistic graphics (with uninteresting gameplay)!

It's just lovely how Microsoft was going to force everyone into buying an entirely new console when they got tired of the limited space available. Until they realized the backlash that would come soon after the announcement that you can't replace the internal hard drive. To then announce external hard drive support would be added in the future. But that won't stop tons of people from not knowing this and unnecessarily buying an entirely new console instead. And who knows if games ...

To raise the price in the first place, so quickly after the Canadian dollar lost value, was a mistake. If they don't bring the price of the console back down, they're only doing themselves more harm then anything. Our local stores are not selling as many as a result; it's not supply has met demand.
This will not improve the speed of your connection! You only connect to the DNS server once to establish the connection, and then you are no longer routed through it.
And to actually improve the speed of your connection would only hurt your online multiplayer experience. Framerate is not getting nearly the attention is deserves. Who cares about resolution when the picture in motion is not just as sharp and crisp (not to mention smooth) due to a terrible framerate (and the judder it produces).
This article brings up so many great points. It's simply ridiculous how many so called gamers say they care most about photorealistic graphics before everything else. And then bitch about things like microtransactions, etc. It's this desire for photorealistic graphics that inflate budgets to unprecedented levels due to the 100's of artists needed. Sorry, but gameplay should always come first, then story, and only then followed by graphics. You wouldn't go to a theater to watch...
