Because so many people are brainwashed to be graphics whores! And wouldn't know a great console with the best games (that focus on gameplay) if it bite them in the butt?!

Publishers are spending more cash, resources, and muscle on creating them instead of new games. Is that what people really want?

No, I really do agree with you. But its really surprising that people are not sick of playing all the generic photorealistic games (probably another shooter) you find on the other consoles. And how many are blindly jumping on the PS4 bandwagon without really taken some time to think about what they really want in a video game(s).
Why would you honestly not choose to purchase a Wii U first? The exclusive games are better then all the first and third party games on the competitor systems. And if anything, Xbox One will be my second console, as it has the better exclusives and who cares about the littlest of resolution differences.
NX probably stands for Nintendo Cross and is the codename (or placeholder) for the rumored hybrid console/handheld leaked a while ago. The final name is likely unfinalized and console is scheduled for release in holiday 2016 for multiple reasons.

Again; Nintendo doing things right! This is only a good thing. It means quality releases and they can move onto the next thing.

Maybe there are people that don't, but there are people that understand why linear game exist and wouldn't enjoy games as much otherwise.
Just because a studio has large success with one game; does not mean it will the next one.
Bungie or Respawn Entertainment are recent examples of that. No one can honestly say Destiny or Titanfall hold the same level of success Halo and Call of Duty used to.
Seriously? But the original Modern Warfare was superior in so many ways! If anything, they should remake that one, but if they do, they better keep the netcode exactly the way it was back then, and not progressively increase the lag compensation (to cater to shitty internet) like they have with each new cod title.
And why people continue to willingly pay (at least so much) for Xbox Live Gold on consoles all these years is beyond me!
How about; everyone take some time and really think about what is actually important to them in a game (gameplay, story, graphics, etc), instead of defending their allegiance to any one console. And please do seriously consider a Wii U among the others. Because honestly, in my opinion, both the PS4 and XBO are not outputting exclusives anywhere close to what they should be. And Xbox One actually has the ones more interesting to me.
The Wii U and it's exclusive games are fantastic! But a price drop would definitely help in my opinion!
With all the ridiculous hate this 'spin-off' title has been receiving; this may save an otherwise very interesting game.
It might be selling well now, for the short term, but in the long term it won't. A lot of the current sales are likely just due to all the hype, pre-orders, and those holding on to hope that it's actually a decent enough game (to justify their console allegiance).
Why is everyone so hyped for Gears of War?
The direction it's sequels took was not for the good of the franchise. It was increasing less dark and gritty, an overpowered, easy to use shotgun and overpowered lag compensation absolutely took over the multiplayer.
To know it had such potential but ultimately failed to deliver is a big disappointment of mine. I feel all the resources going into it's resurrection should have been put elsewhere.
All these people need to get off the PlayStation 4 bandwagon and not hold such allegiance to any one console! It should be pretty obvious by now that it's exclusive's prioritize graphics above all else and they are suffering because of this. And it's exclusives are nothing special and NOT better then even those on Xbox One. Wii U is the clear winner in exclusive titles. Sorry, but get over it, the PlayStation 4 is not all that!

I remember when those Gears 3 weapons skins were going to be included with the purchase of the game; then it was decided they'd milk everyone's wallets instead.
And yet, most people fail to understand that dedicated servers do not eliminate lag (also known as latency) in online games, and the netcode will continue to include overpowered lag compensation, which only benefits the worse internet connections by putting the best at the disadvantage. Now that is something that needs to change!
