I guess you haven't played The Last of Us Remastered or Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. I'm not sure about Crydtal Dynamics but Naughty Dog had to remake all animations for 60fps unlike this video of Uncharted 3. It's been difficult to go back to 30fps after playing games that were actually developed to target 60fps.
Just one of those games a month would make me a happy PS+ subscriber once more. I've gone from loving PS+ to despising it because it's now little more than a fee to play online.
NNovember is the start of the PS4's second year.
@Pillsbury1
I tried Resogun and Don't starve which both reviewed well but they held my interest for 30 minutes tops. It's not really the indie label that's the problem. My issue is that I don't want to turn on my PS4 and play a game that feels like it could be on my phone. Those are the types of games I associate with the indie label and not the console experience I'm looking for.
I probably fall into that category in your opinion but please hear me out.
While I loved PS+ last generation, I'm starting to dispize it now. To me it's starting to feel like something I have to pay for to play online rather than the premium game subscription it started as. I have no interest in indie games therefore the only thing I've gotten out of my "subscription" is the ability to play TLoU:R and Destiny with friends. Both games that are peer-2-peer...
It's odd. The review made it sound like a really good game that would get a much higher score than the original 7.5. Dropping the score to 5 due to server issues seems very harsh to me.
In the past I would have agreed with you but after playing Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and The Last of Us Remastered at 60fps it's hard to go back. I cringe when I move the camera faster than a snails pace and everything goes blurry at 30fps.
My exact thoughts. He had very good aim and was backed up the whole time. I'm not great in the crucible and heading into Iron Banner with level 24 gear hasn't made me much better.
Basically if you're expecting a good story you'll be disappointed (the atmosphere is great though) and if you're expecting a deep MMO/RPG you'll be disappointed. However, if you're expected an excellent FPS game that can be played solo or coop in PvE mode and has a competitive PvP mode, all with stunning visuals and an addictive loot system that has light MMO/RPG elements then you'll really like Destiny. I'm part of the latter group and can't get enough of Des...
Now dance!
Far review. I'd give it a higher score as I'm really enjoying Destiny. Odd for me to not care about the story but it's just so much fun with friends and I'm hooked on grinding for loot.
As Vince Ingentio said;
+ Excellent gameplay
+ Visually stunning
+ Good gear game
- Minimal story
- Some weak RPG elements
The positives greatly outweigh the negatives in my opinion.
FYI there is a port missing in this article according to Bungie support ( http://www.bungie.net/en/He...
I couldn't agree more. Watchdogs definitely takes that crown for me. I hadn't paid Destiny much attention before the beta but was hooked then and there. The full game is exactly what I expected based on the beta so I'm not disappointed at all, quite the opposite.
"Destiny has not achieved greatness, yet. It is however, extremely fun to play."
So true.
It's very unusual for me to really like a game and not care about the story at the same time but it's exactly how I feel about Destiny. The shooting mechanics are top notch, the atmosphere is great, levelling up and getting loot is fun, and it's a blast playing with friends. I couldn't tell you what the story is about yet I'm still loving Destiny, I'd say that's a first for me.
Agreed. I really don't think it was ever planned to be played solo. That said having a great time playing with friends. Love it.
Piracy is theft no matter how you try and justify it. You try and justify it because you want to get rid of the horrible guilty feeling you get from stealing. Some people don't feel the guilt and openly admit to the theft and are, in a weird way, more honest than the thief in denial.
It's true. That's the exact same code I used last night.
I disagree. Exclusive means to exclude, to not include, to deny participation. If a deal is made so that a game is never released on Playstation but is on Xbox and eventually PC then that game is still exclusive.
I'm in two minds regarding 60fps. After playing TLoU:R and TR:DE at 60fps I definetly enjoyed how smooth it was and that I could pan the camera without everything going blurry, soak in the surroundings. On the other hand I do like highly detailed surroundings that use high resolution textured which can make limit the fps of a game. Ideally developers will figure out how to give us both. If that never happens I'll assume the developers have worked hard and done this best they can.
