I like your idea for scoring a game, brings needed objectivity to the review process.
I would rate this a 9/10 because the overall experience is what matters to me most.
I can see how it's not for everyone though as time spent not shooting is time spent not gaming to some people so even though as you saying "gaming in the strictest sense" is hard to define, 6/10 is fair.
4/10 for value is a problem though. What happens when some...
Likewise. I have to wonder whether the low scores for a highly anticipated game are simply to generate clicks. Seriously a fantastic game, easily a 9/10 for me!
Scores are irrelevant. This is what matters.
+ Great Story
+ Outstanding graphics
+ Superior sound
+ Density atmosphere
+ Cinematic Presentation
- Part hakleige control (QTEs ?)
- Relatively small extent
Took them 10 hours and 48 minutes and they said could easily add 1-1.5 hours to that total.
I'm also waiting but don't hold your breath. My hunch is that ROTR is an instalment we may never see now that Microsoft is publishing it.
They probably tried and the current exclusivity deal was as close as they could get.
I'd give up SF for TR any day! I'm really hoping TR comes to PS4 but I'm not expecting it to. Given that Microsoft is now publishing the game I'll assume it's an exclusive until otherwise is official announced. Yes I've read what Spencer had to say and it was vague at best. Just because you didn't buy the IP doesn't mean you didn't secur exclusive rights to this instalment of the franchise.

I don't think it's just about release date. The Order: 1886 looks to be a third person shooter heavily rooted in the action-adventure genre, a very popular type of game which could potentially become a popular franchise. Bloodborne is a hack-and-slash game far more tailored to the hardcore and in terms of sales quite niche. Sony is investing more in the franchise that they expect to get more return from.
I doubt it. If as you say it received a higher score than it deserved why would they be on Ubisoft's bad side?
I'd say this is a genuin opinion piece. The author held off on AC:Unity because of the publicised bugs but after its been patched he decided to give it a chance and genuinely had a good time. He's just letting others whom might be interested but held off what he thought of it.
I didn't think it was bad to begin with but regardless, if you've been interested but held off I'd say jump in. AC:Unity is a great game.
So Meltic, bad joke.
You should be able to play Witcher 3 on at least high if not max settings with a decent frame rate and at 1440p if you wish. It should look and play very well on your PC.
No. You better buy a console.
I disagree.
I've come from primarily an RPG background into Destiny but also felt disheartend to find that my beloved Legendary and Exotic gear was now obsolete. I think the difference is that high level gear in Destiny is hard to come by and importantly, after you get some high level gear, you then have to level it up to unlock all its abilities and power which takes a long time. It causes you to get attached to gear like no other RPG has before. Releasing gear that you ...
Most of mine was bought from the vanguard, the rest from the raid.
The whole fiasco was blown out of proportion by the gaming press that were annoyed by the review embargo.
Like I said above. I'd recommend just buying it if you're waiting. Personally I've only seen a few very minor bugs, nothing out of the ordinary for an open world game, and I've not noticed any frame-rate problems on the PS4.
It really is a great game. The atmosphere of Paris is something special. The number and intelligence of the NPCs ma...
I'd recommend just buying it if you're waiting. Personally I've only seen a few very minor bugs and not noticed any frame-rate problems on the PS4. A frame rate shifting between 25-30 fps is not something I see.
Why do you think it will bomb so hard?
Personally I've no interest in DMC4 but I'll probably get the reboot. I was interested in it when it first released but for some reason didn't get it, there was probably something else I was playing at the time. Pretty sure I'd move onto PS4 by the time is released on PS+ for PS3 also.
I'm keen.
I'm glad steam will not publish this game as I think it's disgusting. I sincerely hope they also refuse to distribute it.
Yes it is. This is the fact first time it's been clearly stated that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available on PS4. Previously statements by Microsoft have been ambiguous at best. People claiming this is old news have simply had their inference confirmed, until now it was not certain.
I think what we're seeing is websites unethically under rating high profile games because they've realized that giving a highly anticipated game a low score generates clicks.
