What a pathetic article, sorry I mean blog. Not what I call NEWS for gamers.
Awsome, excellent story was just what I was hoping for after playing the demo. I never really used to pay much attention to story in games (probably because they sucked). For me I'd say FFX was the first game where I was actually interested in the characters and storyline. UC1 followed by UC2 really ruined a lot of games for me, after those if the story doesn't captivate me I just get bored and stop playing. Since then games I have managed to finish thanks to a good story are MGS4, As...
What a terrible review of the beta! If this person does not enjoy this type of game why bother reviewing it? Based on the quality of the writing I dare say the author is a child, each paragraph is one huge sentence. If you are genuinely interested in this game don't bother reading this impression, basically a rant about how much he dislikes the AC franchise.
I agree it appears that way from the 3 minute video summary of the actual written review, click the link and read the review and you'll find its all in there.
Overall graphically Enslaved is no where near UC. However when I played the demo I certaintly noticed how expressive the facial animations were, the amount of emotion conveyable with the technique they have used is fantastic in my opinion. This is what I believe is being referred to by "staying true to the actor". They have used mo-cap on the actual facial expressions rather than have an animator create them to match the voice.
"Facial Motion Capture or P...

Thank you. I'm in the beta come October 4th and was disappointed with the video. You make it sound much more tactical which is what I am hoping for.
You make an interesting point. I've personally come to the conclusion that anything with a metacritic score below 80 will likely be (in my opinion) crap.
There is more to it then just the exchange rate. Yes the Australian dollar is very close to the American but regular retail price also conciders the average wage. Australians get paid more than Americans, median US income is $50,000 per year, median Australian is $67,000. Hence regular retail price in Australia is higher.
Just watched the rest of the dev diaries on you tube. This game looks like it's going to be awesome, I for one can't wait!
There is some blood in AC2, not a lot and it quickly fades.
I hope not but that's the impression I got from the video. I like the hack&slash genre but I'm sceptical after how much that piece of crap Dante's Inferno was hyped. I think GOWIII will still be king.
I pretty much agree but what demo did he play? There was no walking off the path in the demo I played.
I enjoyed the demo. Story is important to me and I think enslaved may be strong in that department. If the story doesn't hook me it doesn't matter how good the gameplay is I will get bored. Each to there own though.
According to the beta forum http://forums.ubi.com/eve/f...
PAL ps+ plus users get in early and only some US subscribers.
by Sony as I'm personally considering ps+ because of this. And smart move by Ubisoft as this ensures they're getting core gamers as beta testers. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot more of this down the track.
I just realized but can't (or don't know how) to remove my comment. Sorry ico92 , forgive me I'm a new member long time reader :(.
Yes I think you are right, especially given that PAL ps+ users who pre-registered still get a key for the 4th of October beta.
At least in terms story telling and cinematic feel. Enslaved doesn't have the production value, the polish of UC2, they're on different levels
Still playing through Enslaved and currently missing banter between characters that occurs while exploring in UC. The story feels disjointed if the only conversing occurs during cut-scenes. Still enjoying the game though.
I'd say it is the only multiplat that is reminiscent of UC but again not on the same l...
