I think it was lacking overall. Hopefully it's just the initial Pro support and it gets better.
That really sucks! I'll take supersampling with a side of rare frame-rate dips any day.
In any case, the game has improved a lot! Although mistakes were clearly made, the developers should be commended for not giving up on their first AAA title and working hard to get the player count trending upwards.
It'd e nice if it was earlier.
If it had higher resolution I'd be really interested in cinematic mode. For those that bought into VR I hope it's not a fad but I think at best it'll be niche for a long time. I just can't see it being a main stream consumer electronic. I'd happily be wrong mind you.
I agree with Pachter and I think Sony actually know what they're doing. They're marketing it as a 4K console but in reality PS4 Pro will make a very good 1080p console. When Scorpio comes out next year it'll likely run games in Native 4K but it'll also likely be expensive. The market penetration of 4K TV will likely not start to grow until 2020 just like HDTV took 5 years to start increasing from 5%. This means most consumers will own a HDTV and will be choosing between the ch...
I'm personally more interested in 1080p enhanced than a frame rate boost.
It's not just these guys. Consoles typically account for about 95% of all game sales. For example, NPD reported the follow values for retail and digital game sales in North America (August 2016);
Console Software $273.7 million
PC game software $14.2 million

I'm still in two minds about my PS4 Pro pre-order. As someone that doesn't have a 4K HDR TV nor plans to buy one for a few years this article didn't help convince me not to cancel. I can't wait to see some comparison video already!
I think Sony and Microsoft and trying to adopt Apples's tick-tock cycle albeit on a longer time-scale. Sony's 3 year cycle feels about right to me and I can't wait to upgrade in November.
It's not a video review, requires following the link and reading the text.
I hope for same. Unfortunately I think Sony own the IP not RAD.
Hopefully it's something similar though, like how From Software made Dark Souls because Song own Demon's Soulsz
I've been very impressed with update 1.2 so far. Big improvements to the game!
I don't think cut-the-rope will make a big difference as I think it'll be difficult to do and rarely seen.
In addition to Alexious, gear drop quality increasing from DZ01 to DZ06 within each bracket should also help balance each instance too.
This mechanic was intended to be included long ago. There has been a key binding for cut rope on PC since launch.
I'm in less favour of the idea. You'd have to sell 1.5x more copies at $40 and 3x more at $20 to make the same amount of money. I doubt that'll happen so to sell games at a reduced price development costs will have to drop. In this scenario I envisage smaller games and more frequent DLC. I prefer $60 for a relatively complete game than $20-$40 for one that is more sliced-and-diced.
Looks to me like they need to lower the difficulty a little. I believe gear will drop from the boss at GS191 which isn't much use if you're already GS190-200. Although most enemies in the hard mode Incursion are purple Veterans, they feel like they have more armor than normal, perhaps that could be lowered.
I know it wasn't an open area early in the game but I don't know when it opened up. FYI mine opened before I'd fully upgraded my base.
8/10 is a great score. I like TD a lot but it's not perfect, it's an easy 9+ for me.
I’ve returned a controller already. After I pressed the L2 button and let go it kept triggering like it was on rapid fire. It was as though the button wasn’t returning all the way out of its own. I assume the spring was faulty.
