It sounds like a fantastic feature for people that already own a gaming PC and have invested in Steam however I think killer app, otherwise known as a system seller, might be over doing it a bit. For people already close to committing to PC gaming but not quite there yet this could add the final pro needed to outweigh any cons. I just can't see many people being convinced to build/buy gaming PCs (Steam Boxes included) because of this feature alone. Don't get me wrong, it sounds cool, ...
I played TR last gen and plan on getting TR:DE at launch because I think it's a great game and I'm a bit of a graphics whore. I suppose that it does help that it's being sold for $75 in Australia which is a little less than the typical $90-$100 that new releases go for.
I'd like to know what the situation was in each territory PS4 released in. In Australia the first two shippments sold out via preorder before they arrived, it looks like February's preorder demand is being met and they may not sell out.
Very poorly written and unlikely proofread. VGI stands for Video Games India but that's a poor excuse.
I don't think it matters how good the experience is. I'm guessing that a lot of people won't want to wear the goggles hence it'll never be maintstream nor tip the favour to PC from consoles. I actually won't be surprised if it doesn't sell all that well.
That looked like a lot of fun. I'd have no problem if the AI were cannon fodder. I'd enjoy shooting them and I'd at least get some kills in matches where I was outclassed. Furthermore, and frankly, I'd get annoyed if AI kept killing me in a multiplayer game. Might end up being a game I'll be envious not to have.
I plan on getting this edition but I'm trying to wait for a price drop because I played it last gen. Getting harder to resist though. It looks good.
March isn't far away. If it's true I'm surprised Ubisoft didn't announce the release date sooner.
I think you're right. Blair Westlake is leaving citing that "It has become clear to me that the organisation is moving in a direction that does not fit either my expertise or my skill sets".
A look at his linkedin profile indicates his expertise is in television (" 4403d ago 11 agree5 disagreeView comment
I'm surprised I liked that review. The titled sounded so ridiculous it nearly put me off, I thought it must have been written by some stupid fourteen year old (he might be fourteen but he's not stupid). It was an entertaining read while still informative, just what I want out of a review.
Wow that is a big jump but is £22 typical for a new release PS3 game over there? We're paying the equivilant of around £40-£45 now days regardless of whether it's last gen or current gen. Not too long ago £50-£55 was quite normal here.
I'm not convinced it'll sell well.
People complained about having to wear glasses for 3D TV. I doubt that many people will be willing to essentially put the glasses and TV on their face. It'll sell to a neiche market for sure but I doubt it'll ever become maintstream.
Game prices didn't change in Australia. If anything they've been on the decline.
What country are you in?
Rarely. I bought Lord of the Rings War in the North even though it reviewed badly (metacritic of 63) because I'm a fan and it is a genera I enjoy. Unfortunately I was disappointed, I didn't play it for long at all.
The only other one I can think of is Dante's Inferno which some might not consider as reviewed badly with a metacritic of 75. That score is on the low side for me. I thought it was ok but not a keeper, traded it in fairly quickly.

I dispize microtransactions!
In AC4 multiplayer you now have the option to unlock abilities and vanity items with real money. My problem is that items at the higher end cost 60,000 Abstergo Credits (in-game currency). A rough calculation indicates that At 100 credits per game which takes 15 minutes you'd have to play for 150 hours to unlock one characters outfit. Multiply that buy 12 for all the standard characters and your at 1,800 hours! That is not what I call optional...
Does that actually happen or were you just making up an example?
I find most reviews quite useful. I typically only buy games that reviewed well and have rarely felt mislead. Mind you I do read numerous reviews with both high and low scores.
I pretty much only buy AAA games.
I hear a lot of hype for indie games and take a look at the ones I get on PS+ but none of them have excited me yet.
I typically sit there thinking WTF, why do people like this game so much? Thomas was alone was ok but nothing to rave about. The Cave I played for an hour or so before I got bored. I'll get hammered for this but I played the Journey demo and didn't see the appeal. Resogun is nice to look at but I don...
All the journalist is saying is that it's currently difficult to talk about demand for the new consoles.
The PS4 keeps selling out. Demand for the PS4 could be ten times higher than current supply but it's impossible to say because Sony is not meeting that demand. A plausible argument in my mind.
The argument that demand could be higher for the X1 I find weaker. The author is trying to say that until the X1 releases in more countries it's hard to...
I can't agree more with this article. At times I enjoy a game enough to consider trying to platinum it but then I look at the trophies and feel that some of them are there only to attempt to delay people from trading the game in. For example anyone can prestige in multiplayer given enough time, doing this for a trophy is not representative of skill and delays some people's inevitable trade in.
