What people are making a big deal?

Just curious on a source, I would like to read more about the trophy/achievement requirements.

They could replace the music.

Exactly, no other console FPS was able to pull off the perfect mix of ingredients. Halo 1 changed console shooters and how they were developed. I would call that revolutionary.

Easy to criticize in hindsight. At the time it was revolutionary. The multiple player, FPS on a console, story driven gameplay etc....

Yep. which is annoying. The article could have discussed 3rd party selling on mainstream retail sites and probably been a good read. Click bait title ruined that opportunity.

This is a joke of an article. The first image is sold and fulfilled by amazon. The second image is a 3rd party seller on amazon who marked the price up.

How was Nintendo suppose to make the hardware beefier with proper cooling and acceptable battery life when mobile? The thing would have been much larger in size.

Class it up gamer's. If you office chair is a generic ass racing seat it's not a good chair. You can find quality leather executive chairs that don't scream elementary school with a racing car bed for the same price or less.

Ever since they went full anchorman ron burgandy on all of their shows, I can't take any of them seriously. I'm Destin Legarie and here's what happening in your fireteam, tonight.

Ok so in 2017 how does it fair on its own merits rather than going in with a bias?

the OP was referencing corporate politics; power, opinion, direction, hierarchy, etc

That weird, the 3ds has less power than the wiiu and switch and has tons of third party support.

It does suck, but this is common place in game development. It's actually not that all uncommon for development position in general to have high turnover with a large chance of elimination. Either way it still sucks for those affected and hopefully they find employment soon. Also with noting
"PlayStation has pledged to "where possible... try to reallocate people onto other projects" and assist staff by speaking to local developers about recruitment prospects. Fo...

What power woes? Name me a more powerful console that is portable? Also would people rather they released a ps4 equivalent 3 year after the xbox on ps4 launched? This is $250 portable/console hybrid. The 3ds launched at 249 six years ago, although later dropped to $179. The 3ds sold 60 million worldwide and was underpowered as a handheld. How many places do we need to play watch dogs.

People are ridiculous. Nintendo was able to hit the industry average of a 3-5% conversion rate at $10, that is insanely successful for their first mobile game. In addition, it made sense for them to launch at $10 to test the waters. They can always lower the price, but whaterver price they land at sets the expectation for their mobile games moving forward. There was no reason to devalue their brand on mobile right out of the gate if the market would support a $10 game.

The average conversion for mobile apps is 3-5%. Nintendo converted 4% at $10 for 4 million in revenue over 24 hours, hardly a failure.
