No one even mines with GPUs any more, it's an ASIC or bust. You can't mine enough off a GPU anymore to make it profitable.
Thats a huge chunk but some of those 80 million probably also own a pc and or xbox one. So it might be closer to 60 million. If any company can force sonys hand it would be bethesda.
There are certainly budget gamers who may want both but can only afford 1. I will be buying both.
Again. I was aware of that. But, we were talking about 2nd chances. Do you understand...2nd chances. Ie; can he fall back on that. Will he be able to retain followers, will it generate revenue.
Lol. I was aware of that. But, we were talkning about 2nd chances. Do you understand...2nd chances. Ie; can he fall back on that. Will he be able to retain followers, will it generate revenue.
In any other industry he would be done. But in video games he may get a second shot somewhere, plus you can start your own website, channel, etc...with zero formal experience. That said, plagiarism has been beat into peoples head as an absolute unacceptable practice since we started school work. This is especially true for those in journalism. Those words are someones livelihood and stealing them is unacceptable and usually career ending. There have been some pretty high profile cases of ...
Ness and sness sounds dumb. Its an acronym and i will always treat it as one buy using the letters. Not some dumb sounding fake words
I totally agree. You can get an adult looking chair that isn't embarrassing to have in your office that is more comfortable and doesn't look like it came out of a 97 civic. Might as well get the matching car bed too. So stupid.
Breath of the wild wasnt a good game. Remove link and replace him with a unknown character and people would hate the game claiming its a ubisoft clone with a cooking gimmick that adds nothing to an already thin experience with no narrative.
And now they bumped the price back to $60 from $20 on the psn store even though the update is free to those who already bought the game. Like guys, if you want to bump the price to align with the xbox release fine, but then release at $40, make it a sequel, or make it paid dlc. But raising the price is a god awful look, again.
Probably, but the gtx 780 came out 8 years ago and has 5 tflops which is more than the PS4. Yes on PC there is extra overhead, but cmon. Literally 8 year old tech that doesn't get taken advantage of until 2017/18 because consoles gamers are only will to spend $299 on hardware that they want to last 5-7 years. It's a joke.
Nothing. Amd thats been the case since the beginning of time. They wouldnlike out previous gen games and use it to lush harware and software sales. Sony changed that when they introduced backwards compatibility.
What next gen. There are no gens. Backwards compat is back and we are getting itterative releases of hardware.
Well then technically we should be able to bridge the uncanny valley right now on pc Hell probably could have 3 years ago but devs need to accomodate for the lowest common denometer console gamers who only want to spend $299 on hardwre but expect it to have best in class performance. Im not even worried about visuals anymore. Amp up the cpu compute power for better AI. Im sick of the same games with better graphics. Take it all to the cloud and we no longer have hardware restrictions. custom...
No game is going to last forever considering nothing ships complete anymore. Once the patches are not available, game broken.
Or for 600 i can buy both and not worry about it.
@jmc8888 solid points.
I agree, pricepoint wise, and cost is going to be slightly lower than PC. But they need to put enough power in them to last 5 years, since thats what gamers still expect. I'm sure they can do it, but I wouldn't expect $399 launch prices, if the expectation is native 4k 30 with high quality 4k assets. Simply rendering in 4k vs creating 4k assets is very different. I doubt consoles will be native 4k 60.
The 1080ti is 11.3 TFLOPS and that is still a $700 card. The 1180 sounds like it will be 13-14 tflops. Which will surely be $700+. Not sure how they are going to fit that tech into the next boxes and keep them affordable. Have to assume the new production will start in a year. So they need a powerful GPU, board, ram, cpu, and keep it under 400 so console gamers don't melt down. That 7.4 tflops mentioned isn't even high quality image assets. This is why cloud and streaming will ...
Doesnt matter. A buddy and I hada farm of GPUs, 60 cards. Still barely profitable. We migrated all to ASIC. It was profitable up until about 5 months ago. Multi GPU, with overclocking, plus underclock for voltage, plus electricity take almost a year to break even on the hardware. Not a good investment.
