The problem is that they are using a software mouse instead of taking it directly from your hardware mouse, like they did in FFXI. It's a terrible design and there is no way to really defend it. However, if the servers are stable, the M/K should work fine (well, to a point...still clunky in my opinion, at least in XI).

Although, if it's like FFXI (didn't get into XIV beta), a gamepad works better anyway(should be able to get a ps3 controller to work with PC vers...

Any real life woman that is even average looking looks better (at least to me) than any fake computer generated woman. I think the disagrees are coming from misinterpreting your statement by some.

If someone reads this as you saying this Miranda looks better than the woman who plays the role (and who the Miranda model was somewhat based on), then I would disagree as well.

This woman is definitely very pretty (and hot), but I don't think she's bette...

The Wii has really great games, mainly the ones you listed plus two or three others (Zack and Wiki and Muramasa, to name a couple, although RE4 doesn't really count, since the Wii version isn't much better than the GC one).

However, the problem with Wii, and it's been the problem from the start, that list is still very small for over 4 years (well, 3 years and 9 months). The spacing between good games for the Wii is huge compared to the ps3 and 360 (mainly ps3 ...

Well, like most people that create "articles" along the line of "top 3/5/10/~", this guy just made a list of 5 of the top 10 or so most popular ps3 games.

I have NEVER seen a proper "Most Overrated" list dealing with video games. Mainly because the majority of the time, the author mistakes his vocabulary. "Popular" and "Overrated" are not the same, but we can't expect people to know everything. (also, the obvious reason ...

Well, SotN is one of my favorite games and it definitely took some of the parts of Metroid, at least the 2D versions. Honestly, I would say SotN is better than any Metroid game (that's a major praise of SotN, not a knock to the M series), but it still borrowed from the gameplay. Also, while it did take a lot from Metroid, SotN also still retained a lot from previous Castlevania games (actually most of the RPG elements that are said to come from Metroid, could also be considered to come ...

While is has pretty much been proven that the visuals were lowered in XIII, the game still looked very good (the best looking JRPG ever made). Graphics were not the problem, at least not the surface graphics.

While I didn't hate the game, the main problems with XIII were: too linear, no towns, no NPCs (in the traditional sense), almost no secrets, no world map, the story ended up not being focused, etc.

From what we have seen of VsXIII, we already kn...

It will probably come out around the same time that Age of Conan comes to the 360.

I think what they really want to ask is "Are 360 fanboys Jealous?" I have no idea why someone, who is not a MS fanboy, would be jealous if they have the game on their system already. However, for the fanboys, I have no doubt the vast majority of them are jealous.

FF games, as with a big chunk of JRPGs, are only as hard as you make them. Don't level at all or do side-quests, and just do the main storyline, and some of the games can be very hard (although sometimes impossible and force you to grind a little). FF Tactics, for example, is really tough if you don't know the tricks and don't grind outside of story missions (can be very easy if you do, since the story mission enemies don't level up like random encounter enemies). Although,...

Well, it could be #2-10 against Kratos, and he would still win. Although, over half of them would be killed after one attack.

As great of a character that Freeman is, I don't consider him "badass," at least not like most of these guys. He's more of the "everyman" who wins against impossible odds.

I know this isn't the point, but in a fight, obviously Kratos is #1 most badass main character in a video game, ever.

@AAACE5

While I completely disagree with your overall sentiment with ID, I will say that they haven't produced or developed any really good game in over 10 years (Quake 3 Arena was their last really good game). If someone doesn't agree, please tell me a really good game since then (Doom 3? Quake 4? Enemy Territory? Not terrible, but definitely not great, and two of those are from Raven Software). No one can legitimately deny ID's or Carmack's accomplishmen...

I enjoyed the story of 11 a lot, and I hope XIV continues this tradition of having a good story in an MMO, because not many of them bother. I do hope, if there is another good story, they they can keep the story segments much closer together.

A big problem with XI, for me (in terms of story...gameplay itself is another story), is that parts of the story were spread out way too much. For example, you could learn the story behind one of the quests, but it's a quest that w...

Main thing I hate when people argue against FFVIII is that they are 99% of the time FFVII fanboys. It's pretty silly that so many people, apparently, can't comprehend that both games are good, even if one is better than the other. VII has some things that are better than VIII, and VIII has some things that are better than VII.

I've seen people argue over which game they like best and talk about the other game as if they are a 12 year old (knowing that they are...

Alundra is sort of a Zelda clone, but it's actually a spiritual successor to Landstalker (Dark Savior was also, hidden gem from Saturn, and could also be on the list, but doubt many have played it). Great games, but I'm not sure I would consider them superior to Zelda (especially not OoT and A Link to the Past, the two best, imo, with TP being close). Alundra definitely is good enough to be on the list though.

Not sure why you would bring metacritic into this, since GoW has a 94 compared to Okami's 93. Anyway, the games are very different, and I think it's ok (despite what a lot of people seem to think based on disagrees) to like them both.

I'm not sure why you got so many disagrees with your first post, unless it was about the order of your rankings. The SNES had a better overall library of games. I do disagree with your second post though, the first four Phantasy Star games (well, first one was Master System) were all very good, as was Shining Force 1 and 2 (nothing on the SNES to compete with Shining Force).

In terms of quantity (of quality games), however, the SNES was just much higher on the list. Es...
