@Lifendz
For the 360 or in general?
In terms of software sales, Black Ops will probably sell a ton, even more than Reach over all systems, but the CoD games are not big system sellers, especially since they are multi-platform (I know the fact it's Activision and after MW2, I don't give a damn about it personally).
The only other game for any system coming out anytime soon that can compare to Halo in terms of hardware sales is GT5. It...
@Otheros00
First, what does wanting the game being released in the west, outside of Japan, have to do with a port to the 360? If it's not ported, and you don't speak/read Japanese, the game is all but inaccessible.
Second, what in the world does Level-5 and Studio Ghibli have to do with Square-Enix? Are you replying to the wrong thread or something?
To completely dismiss TOR just means you either don't like MMORPGs or have seen very little about the game. Maybe you just don't like Bioware, which would end the discussion (our taste in games is just too great to argue). I said nothing negative about GW2, but having complete faith in a company that has developed only one game that was fun for a little while (about as long as a fairly long single-player RPG, but for a long time had way too little content to hold long-term interest)...
Considering GW2 doesn't come out for about a full year, I don't really count that in the discussion. The Old Republic is currently the most promising looking new MMO that will be released within the next 6 months (although, can't say that's a definite).
Even if GW2 came out at the same time as TOR, it would be no contest for me. For one, NCSoft are not a great developer, they have a few decent games, but I would say they've never released a truly great...
Iran is stockpiling now.
When you get to the future, be sure and gather up all the fliers to help restore landmarks that you can, (especially those involving electrocuted clock towers) so you can time travel again if you want in the future...figuratively speaking.
The Back to the Future trilogy comes out on Blu-Ray October 26. I'm probably looking forward to that more than the game (looking forward to the game as well).
Would love to see a new Hot Shots! Golf game with Move support.

Dark Cloud 2 is the NA name for Dark Chronicle, as it was called in Japan.
I am greatly looking forward to seeing more about Ni no Kuni. Also, Dark Cloud 3 is my most anticipated announcement of any game from anyone(not saying it's gonna happen, just the one I want the most).

Eh, you just linked to probably the worst article on the whole surplus system. Try reading the official response: http://www.ffxivcore.com/to...
It's still a little confusing and the I don't like the system simply because it's confusing, but it's nowhere near as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. There is a good consolidated...
Has nothing to do with time, and reaching the limit is going to require only playing one class only and doing nothing but grinding, and even then it will take a while. People misunderstand the system. Not that I blame them, since SE explained it very poorly. Even hardcore players will probably never experience the extreme of the surplus xp if they play at least three classes (like you should if you don't wanna suck).
I don't think the movie looked crappy at all. However, I'm also not willing to just accept that it will be good. I have a few reasons for looking forward to it, though.
One, the technical aspect of it was really good.
Two, it's being directed by Zack Snyder. I assume the movie will get a PG rating, so I'm kind of curious how the man behind 300, Watchmen and the upcoming Sucker Punch (not sure about this movie, but the trailer is AWESOME) wi...
@Perjoss
It's kind of a tricky thing. ME1 is definitely more of an RPG, but ME2 IS still an RPG, and to me (and the majority of people) it is still a better game, even if the RPG elements aren't as common. Then again, RPG is not a clearly defined genre, either.
Overall, great list, but also shows that this generation, so far, does not come close to measuring up to past generations in terms of RPGs. I'm not saying some of the games don't mea...
The movie actually looks pretty good, but as past movie > game tie-ins have told us, there is a 99% chance the game will suck.
Would love to have a bundle with Move, nunchuck, PSEye and Infamous 2. Or at least Move+Infamous 2, like they did with the first Infamous and the DS3.
Just being knit-picky, there could be a hard cap. I'm not sure if it's even possible to do, but there is a hard cap to your physical level, and your class level can't be higher than your physical level (I would assume, as it wouldn't make sense other wise). So, if it's possible to get enough xp during the week to get your class level to reach your capped physical level, you wouldn't be able to level anymore for the week, even if you let it replenish.

The far more important thing is, if Sony is willing to fund the project, that is what matters. Obviously Level 5 would have to be on board, but if it's about success, DC3 is more of a safe bet than WKC ever was. The 2nd game sold fairly well for a non-FF or DQ RPG, and it sold enough to where a sequel should at least make a profit. Sony has proven that they are willing to back a project even if it seems like a "risk," if it's a project that will deliver a quality and uniq...
Other than RPGs, Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are my two favorite 2D games. As long as you count Zelda: A Link to the Past as at least partly an RPG. (Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3 would be up there as well)
Speaking of The Old Republic, I think that's the game that will have a chance at beating WoW, if anything does. The game is being made by Bioware, who is every bit as consistent as Blizzard. All of their games are at least "good" with quite a few "amazing" ones. NCSoft can't even come close to saying that (although I do really like GW1).
I will say that TOR is much more likely to challenge WoW than GW2, especially since it's a lot closer to ...
Class Level:
Each class, whether it be a Disciple of War or a Disciple of Hand (crafter), has it's own unique level. Class level determines the skills you learn, stats (dependent on the class), and what equipment you can wear, and of course what type of weapon you use (which is what changes your class in the first place).
Class fatigue is also a defined amount of xp, that diminishes while you are doing things that earn you xp. However, when doing stuff ...
First off, it should be noted by people that you can't look at FFXIV as you would other MMO's, since the path of leveling is extremely unique to the game.
There are two paths:
Physical Level:
You get physical level xp from everything you do that gives xp, no matter what class you are. Physical level determines the level of gear you can use (it syncs down to your class level, if it's not as high as physical level) and the amount...
Completely agree, although it has some stiff competition. Lots of really really good games this year.
In my opinion, the top 6, by the end of the year, will be Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, Super Mario Galaxy 2, GT5, Halo: Reach, LittleBigPlanet 2. I think it will come down to SMG2 and LBP2. As popular and great as RDR, GoW3, GT5 and Halo are, the admiration that SMG2 has received from most sites and the same for the previews of LBP2, I just see those as the two mo...
