While I think large parts (maybe all?) of the CG trailer is taken from the past ones they have released, I think they are insanely well done. I would love to see an Old Republic movie done by these guys in the same style.

Agree. I don't expect Tomb Raider to be as good as Uncharted, but hell, how many games are? However, another Uncharted-like game with a different character and new locations peaks my interest.
I hope the game is good, and I thought the demo looked pretty good. I'll agree there are a few too many QTEs. Tomb Raider probably won't have near as much shooting as Uncharted (going by past TRs), so I am kind of worried that instead of shooting they are gonna have QTEs...
ME3 will be great, although not a great showing of the game. Also, Ghost Recon actually looked really good, as long as they don't overdo the Kinect stuff. Which it looked like one of the few games using Kinect that won't go too far with it, especially since it's also coming to the PS3 I believe, so I doubt they are gonna make two completely different playstyles.
I'm sure the game will be great (as good as previous games without Bungie? we'll see), but this was very much just a teaser trailer. There is no way to know if anything will be different or if everything will be. This trailer was simply there as an announcement for the game, not more than that.

There wasn't a huge demo of it, so we don't know the full extent, but it almost seems like the Kinect part is mainly used for gun customization and target practice. I don't really see a way Kinect could work during actual game progression since I highly doubt this is a rail shooter. Maybe using the analog stick for movement?

Highly unlikely Skyrim will look as good as Witcher 2 (which is one of the best looking games ever, imo). It will be bigger though. Although, if it's anything like Oblivion, the actual storyline will be incredibly short, with 80% of the game being side missions (something I think The Witcher 1 and 2 did much better than the Elder Scrolls games: story over size).
I honestly don't expect to like Skyrim as much as I did Witcher 2, mainly because I'm not a huge fan...
Honestly wasn't too worried with the graphics for Skyrim in any part other than character models. Oblivion character models were terrible even for when the game was released. Skyrim models look to be light years ahead in terms of quality (and realism, and natural, and ...well, not make me spend hours trying to find a model that I'm just "not-ok" with, rather than pissed off at).

In the spirit of Mario, there are some old 3D games that still hold up, with Super Mario 64 being probably the main one. Not that your statement isn't true, as the older 3d games, definitely had a lot of control problems and most of the graphics are ridiculous by today standards (unlike 2d games). I'm not sure how they could even think of leaving in the same system, without significant changes, considering the vast majority of complaints from almost every source (most importantly, players) was that system, and why I consider the PC version vastly superior, having the leveling mod.

Yes, Quen is the most important spell in your arsenal (at least for the first 7-8 hours of the game for me so far), unless you want to spend 10 min on ever fight rolling away after every attack. It makes the fights much more manageable.
Fact of the matter is, the complaint is that there aren't enough black people and too many white people. Why the hell does it matter what skin color a character is.
I agree with ethnic diversity in games, as that will actually change the story/attitude/voice actor/settings/etc. However, having a black guy instead of a white guy but doing the same things and acting the same way the white guy would sounds ridiculous, since at that point they ARE the same other than a pig...

Valkyria Chronicles may be a SRPG but it's still a JRPG, and while WKC is very much underrated, VC is far superior.
Also, Persona 4 came out this generation, although I guess it didn't come out on a "next-gen" system, but if you count it, it's the best JRPG in a long time.

I think the major thing Portal 2 has going for it is that not only is it hilarious (imo), but the gameplay is also very very good. That's something a lot of the point-and-click funny games lack: inspired gameplay (although I love a lot of point-and-click adventure games).

Sounds like something you just made up, because EVERYTHING the developers are saying, up to just a week or so ago still 100% plans on a 2011 release date. I tend to trust the developers and inside sources over rumors and such.
Will bet money though that if it isn't released this year, it will be in the first quarter 2012. Still it seems very likely that it will be released this year, considering how finished the game seems based on videos shown.
