I firmly believe The Last Guardian will release this October, it likely moved over to PS4 in like 2011/12, which would be plenty of time to develop it for PS4.

I say October because on the 18th of that month it will be the 10 year anniversary of Shadow of the Colossus and Sony will probably want to commemorate that with TLG.
I think E3 is the special moment Shu has been waiting for, to re-announce it and October would be a meaningful release date for the game.

MCV confirmed Sony has new big Fall games to announce for this year.
There's quite a few prospects, like a new Killzone or Resistance, GT7 has been in development alongside GT6 for ages, that's probably another.

TLG fits for this year as well, with it having a good 3+ years of solid dev time on PS4 and it being the 10 year anniversary of SoTC releasing.

A new Playstation All Stars has been rumored for ages, apparently it has a similar style of...

IMO Sony's E3 could go like this:

Tearaway Unfolded, Until Dawn and Fat Princess Adventures all Summer 2015.

Major new exclusives will get a good 50+ mins of stage time.

Release dates in brackets for those games below:
Playstation All Stars (Power Stone style gameplay, Sept 2015)
The Last Guardian (Oct 2015, release on 10 year anniversary of Shadow of the Colossus)
Killzone or Resistance (Cambridge Nov 2015)

@ThichQuangDuck: I didn't say less western focused, I said that Microsoft were US focused for their library of games, they're not really that focused on any games that are targeted outside of that region.

They tend to rely on 3rd party multiplats for that stuff, rather than trying to make their own titles for that.

It sounds like it should be a pretty good, gamer focused show, with a lot of new info on the games they announced last year.

There will probably be a few surprises, but largely I think MS's conference will be about the known entities, because those have to be marketed and it seems like MS announced the likes of Crackdown, Scalebound and Phantom Dust way too early, considering we haven't heard anything new about those games since last E3.

I don't k...

I'm still waiting for Microsoft to sell me on the Xbox One, hopefully Crackdown and Scalebound will be finally shown off at their conference with proper gameplay.
Right now I can say that there's games I'd buy if I had an XB1, but there's nothing that makes me need or even want to buy an XB1.

I have played Halo SP, Gears (1-3), no doubt the new Halo and Gears will be cool, but I just can't get that excited for those games now, even though I think t...

I agree with this, TLG has probably had a good 3-4 years in development on PS4 (I don't think it was ever coming to PS3, just too ambitious for the system to handle it), considering this is the 20th E3, the 20th anniversary of Playstation releasing in the west and 10 years since Shadow of the Colossus releasing it's the perfect time for the game to finally be both announced and released.

I think TLG will get an October release globally.
Sony needs to bring big...

@Kingthrash360:

Sony has a lot more than those titles you mentioned confirmed for this year, they have 1)Deep Down, 2)Let it Die, 3)Kill Strain, 4)Alienation, 5)Rime, 6)Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, 7)Until Dawn, 8)Fat Princess Adventures, 9)Drawn to Death, plus the other games you mentioned, although some of those are on other Playstation systems or PC like Persona 5.

Sony apparently has some other big AAA games to announce for the Fall, I could see a...

@jb227: Yeah they wouldn't just be announcing games to only those 500 people, gifts sounds very likely, which is cool for those people.

Hooking people up could even mean letting them demo single player from Halo 5, Quantum Break and do some racing in Forza 6, some new stuff for Fable Legends and Killer Instinct seems likely as well.

Rise of the Tomb Raider should of course be there.

As far as the conference goes I expect Microsoft's c...

Sony stated that it was canceled, then they changed it to being on hold, along with the last Getaway game those titles are just an unknown quantity now.

I wouldn't be at all shocked if they still happened.
TBH 8 Days looked beyond PS3's capabilities, with so much physics interaction going on and such a big scope of world.
8 Days, The Getaway, Agent and The Last Guardian are probably all being developed for PS4 now.

Rime just looks amazing IMO!
Not just the visuals, but the whole idea of the world basically being a huge puzzle.

I hope we'll see something more about WiLD as well, that looks awesome too!
It's funny how so many people bash indies, but this generation, on PS4 the exclusive indies it's getting are just looking amazing, those The Tomorrow Children, Alienation, those all look amazing!

@nicksetzer1: Why wouldn't this go to PS4?
The game started life on Playstation, Square Enix wouldn't want to damage their relationship with either their Customer Base or Sony by not bringing a multiplatform title to a Sony home console.

Another factor you have to bare in mind is that PS4 has THE largest install base of any home console right now, with the best 3rd party software sales, it's guaranteed that the gap between PS4 and XB1 will get much bigger,...

Exactly, there was never any chance of any outright exclusivity, MS may be full of cash, but they'd basically have to cover the costs of sales for the game on all other platforms it would have come to and the level of sales wouldn't have made it financially viable on 360 and XB1.

Most likely SE will keep it an Xbox exclusive for as short a time as possible, because they want the sales that will happen on PS4, PC and maybe PS3.
The most amount of time I see thi...

Sounds like this could be the year for TLG, especially with this being the 20th anniversary of E3 and it being 10 years since SoTC, I can definitely see Sony bringing out TLG this year and releasing in October!

Recently there's been rumors it will make it's return and the sources are sounding pretty legit on GAF.

A teaser for GOW on PS4, with a full gameplay reveal at PSX seems very likely.
Along with GT7, Guerrilla's new IP, Bend's ne...

You can't patch in a feature that the architecture is inherently incapable of handling.
How X86 runs code is fundamentally different than how RISC does.

XB1 is X86/CISC in design, 360 is RISC.
Then there are the issues of vendors for the CPU design, IBM designed the PPC Cores of 360, AMD designed the Jaguar Cores in XB1.

There's also the issue of clock speed differences of the CPUs.

The "Something Big" for th...

And again with this nonsense that Sony's E3 is apparently (with no logical reasoning or indication from Sony or any legit insiders) going to be 3rd party focused or be media focused.

Actually the indication for some time now has been that Sony will be announcing what many of their 1st party studios have been working on.
This stuff about 3rd party focus is basically a response to the fact that Sony has a tonne of 1st party studios, all well established that have be...

Yep, tonnes of stuff is in development.
You just know Sony has a few huge games to announce at E3 for this Fall and loads of stuff for 2016.

The list of potentials is huge.
This E3 should be awesome for Sony!

Momentum hasn't shifted at all, it's one month of better sales, in the 2nd most important market (the biggest being Europe, which Sony firmly owns), Sony very much still owns the global market with PS4, they have more exclusives coming both AAA, indie and anything inbetween compared to MS does for XBox One.

For AAA games alone PS4 has 2 already, then another 6 major AAA titles, 2 of which are F2P.
On top of that there's about 7 or 8 awesome looking indies,...

Me too, it's the main conference I'm looking forward to! Sony has so many 1st party exclusives in development for PS4 it should be a pretty insane conference, loads of those games have been in the works for years!

It's also the 20th anniversary of the conference, so I'm sure Sony will be pulling out some huge surprises.

While I agree Star Wars is that big Sony has a tonne of big games in development, many are likely prospects for this Fall.

Killzone usually gets a release every 2 years, that can be what Cambridge are working on.
GT7 has been in development since way before GT6 came out.
The likes of TLG, Agent, Eight Days and The Getaway never ended up getting canceled, so if they're still in the works then they'd have to be basically done by now.
All of those...
