@littlezizu: There's Paris Games Week in October, although it's possible that Sony may try to appeal to the monster hunter and mech/RPG crowd in Asia and have new footage for Tokyo Games Show next month.
A random trailer showing off The Market area, some exploration through ruined Caves that are actually heavily corroded sky scrapers (see intro to the E3 reveal), some teaser of a never before seen mechanized behemoth, flying beasts could definitely appeal to the Final...
Remedy hasn't won that award, it's claimed on the SoloXBox forum that they did, but looking on Siggraph's own website there was no such award given.
SoloXbox is a forum, not a source from Siggraph.
Yep, they seem to have evolved so much, in all areas.
The more I hear them talking about this, the more confident and excited for it I am.
IMO Killzone is an awesome series, which was definitely up my street, but Horizon appeals to me even more than that.
I can't wait for this!
The issue with getting PS3 games to run on PS4 is that PS3 had a completely different type of CPU, 360's Xenon was a 6 thread, 3 core chip, RISC (the instruction set that PS3 shared), but PS3's CELL had one of those 2 thread CPUs, along with 8 smaller shader like assist processors.
Code on PS3 is much more complicated to port over to an X86 chip than the 360's is.
360 also has an AMD GPU, whilst PS3 had an NVidia chip, since PS4 and XB1 both use A...
QD's PS4 game has been in pre-production since the middle of 2012.
Them showing it off at Paris is pretty likely.
Quantic Dream confirmed that they have a new IP in development for PS4 at the PS4 announcement in Feb 2013.
Their game began pre-production in the middle of 2012, so it's had over 3 years in development at this point, probably ready to show by Paris Games Week or Playstation Experience.
I know right, it's fanboy logic, no realistic and objective person would count No Man's Sky, Street Fighter or others has PS4 exclusives, if they're also on PC then they can be called console exclusive, but you can't call them an outright PS4 exclusive.
The article is a lie, because it says "games you won't find on any other platform".
Gears 1 is available on 360 and PC, Fable Legends PC, Inside PC, Below PC, Cuphead PC, Sea of Thieves PC and Ashen is also releasing on PC.
Halo Wars 2 is also releasing on PC.
The entire article was a mistake, it's no wonder they'd forget something that isn't coming to another 8th gen console.
Microsoft have only had Forza 5 and Kinect Sports Rivals from their 1st party studios this generation, everything else is either a 2nd/3rd party exclusive or a remaster of older XBox games.
This year MS only has Halo 5 and Forza 6.
Gears 4 is the only 1st party exclusive coming to XB1 next year, Sea of Thieves is releasing on PC, as well as XB1, everything else is being developed by 2nd or 3rd party studios.
It's a fact that XB1 only has 5 1st pa...
I'm really not sure why you'd assume that just because MM hasn't shown that aspect of the game that it won't be in there.
Every past MM game has had a campaign, with different kinds of levels built into them and a story told for each or the whole.
If anything Dreams will have this, only instead of it being limited to one kind of game there could easily be a whole variety of genres built into the core game of Dreams.
If development had ...
Art is anything creative, so this of course includes video games.
Dreams was the single most impressive thing announced in the interactive digital market this year, more important than any single game or any other piece of software for it's sheer scope of what's possible with it.
This is not merely a video game, it's a complete digital creation platform, with a revolutionary rendering technique for anything visual.
What's poss...
@EDMIX: Even as far as games for windows goes the output from 1st party has been very little, it's Phil's responsibility to build studios, hire talent and coax new IPs and desirable games out of that staff, but the output has been very lacking in comparison to Sony or Nintendo.
That's Phil's responsibility since 2009, yet we're only going to start getting anything major at the end of this year, after some 18 months without anything from 1st party.
...
Phil's been in charge of game development at Microsoft Studios since 2009, I'm sure he was able to have his say back then on what games go into development and even after 5/6 years Microsoft's output is still very poor.
I really don't know why people think that Phil has made huge changes to XBox One's library just because he's now in charge of Xbox.
He's been outright responsible for Xbox's game development since 2009, with his job bein...
So true!
People always bash them, but the real reason that Playstation home console's sell so well and why Sony has never had a dud in the sales department is because they deliver the games that the largest audience wants to play.
Dreams looks amazing and the fact that many are intrigued by it speaks to Media Molecule for their ability to entertain and create unique and appealing content.
Dreams is going to be way more than just a game creation platform, i...
@RpgSama:
More than one seems very likely.
London Studio hasn't released any major home console exclusives for years, yet they're the second largest studio at WWS.
I think we'll hear one of their games and it'll be a huge new PS4 exclusive.
That and QD's new IP will be announced at PGW.
TGS seems a given to have Level-5's PS4 exclusive, likely Dark Chronicle, since that was trademarked recently and the IP still ...
@triplec:
Cheers. :)
No worries dude, I know at one point 8 Days and the last Getaway for PS3 were said to have been canceled, but after that it was stated that was incorrect and those games had just been put on hold.
I always got a bit of a GTA vibe about 8 Days.
Yeah 8 Days was packing some pretty sophisticated physics tech back then, even for now if that tech was used for some awesome set pieces in an open world it would be amazing.
...
Considering what Guerrilla Games have managed to do in a massive, open world title, with amazing physics and AI it should utterly stunning.
Assuming Quantic Dream are making a more linear experience like The Order their new game should set an even higher benchmark.
They should be able to realize the Dark Sorcerer level of visuals within a far more interactive title.
Hell Uncharted 4 is at times on par with that, even in gameplay.
I wo...
@MichaelLito79: Look at what you listed as XB1 exclusives, ReCore was the only new title announced that is only coming to XB1, although even that game's exclusivity has recently been brought into question, because people linked to it's development have been stating it's coming to PC, which directly effects it's ability to move systems.
KFK is right, besides Scalebound and Quantum Break everything else is available on another platform, that stops it being an ex...
Exactly, I mean Sony already has more exclusives coming out for PS4 this year compared to what Microsoft has for XB1, 4 retail exclusives to 2 and Sony are supposedly behind.
Sony announced 3 brand new IPs at E3 (Horizon, Dreams and RIGS), one of which is an entirely new media creation platform, which will pack in an ever expanding volume of gaming and overall entertainment content, which also uses completely new rendering technology (Dreams).
Sony also brought back 3...
Well Guerrilla's last 2 games were announced only 9 months before they released, same is true of Bloodborne, which (like Horizon) is another completely new IP, which funnily enough didn't get any gameplay footage when it was unveiled and the behind closed doors stuff from E3 2014 it didn't look or run anywhere near as good as Horizon did.
I'm doubtful this is a Fall 2016 game, otherwise it probably wouldn't have been announced until Playstation Experience ...
