There's no console or device locally processing games in the Stadia cloud platform.
Google should have revealed a console with the specs they announced for their Blade servers which host each instance.

Big mistake on their part not having an option for people with poor internet who want to game on devices in their own home.

Stadia looks rubbish.

Absolute nonsense, with a console I have it at home, I know it works, it's a known quantity for people that use consoles.

Google couldn't even reveal more than a few 3rd party partners, they had no games of their own to reveal, they couldn't confirm any prices for anything or even solid release dates.

Latency for this is going to be abysmal in even 30FPS games, 60FPS will not give you the kind of experience you get with local hardware.

They're not Zombies, they're feral humans called Freakers and if a deadly virus were to alter overrun the planet it wouldn't be picky of who gets infected, regardless of age.

If you lived in a post apocalyptic world, with infected people they basically stop being human anymore and become something that will focus on hurting you or anyone around you.

There are no issues in killing feral creatures, that can't reason or are compelled to end y...

It's pretty out there, pretty crazy if true and Sony are definitely in a position to make something like this happen.

Sony are a key publisher that likes to give their developers an almost unheard of level of freedom and support, really paving the way for market change, so I could see this being true.
It definitely helps that Sony are the market leaders.

Just Cause 4 was a nice surprise for sure IMO.

It took me finding a great deal for the S and on Gamepass, with Microsoft basically giving access to most of their games for me to take a punt and buy into the XB1 ecosystem, but I didn't do it over having my PS4 and even now my PS4 and Switch get way more use.

PS4 tends to get the most use out of all three for me, though Switch being portable and my home consoles being set up in my bedroom and me sharing the living room with the family means Switch is handy to carry do...

It's about £389-399 for an X with a few games and a month of Gamepass and Live access.

Comparing a PC build a GTX 1060 is a good match for X's GPU, you can get one in the UK for about £189.99 for a 6GB card, it'd cost over £200 for the other parts you'd need to make a comparable system, with a better CPU than X.
A Windows 10 license also adds to the cost.

X was also a fair bit cheaper than the price I listed above d...

They shouldn't launch any later than Sony, because any negative light compared to Sony is just going to ruin their momentum.

Being late, having worse value, worse hardware performance, less gamer focused platform, bulkier machine, lacking games and so on will effect their appeal to gamers.

Sony will provide good value with PS5, as they did with PS4, because it's one of the major reasons why PS4 succeeded.
The PlayStation brand also has th...

Astral Chain, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Daemon X Machina should definitely be on this list.

Town also looks good from the little bit of gameplay shown.
Those games deserve to be mentioned over phone games.

It would be nice to have a new Portable PlayStation as an optional device, though in the current climate I think it would only work as a potential model of hardware that can play current games.

If PS5 is a 4K machine, then a 720p portable device that can run the games that come to it's bigger cousin would make sense and expand the potential audience for PlayStation/Sony, without Sony or 3rd party Devs having to divide resources to make Portable exclusives for the handhe...

If you've waited this long to buy a PS4, then you're clearly not an early adopter for console generations.

PS5 is likely very close, based on many reasons, so if you can wait and don't mind paying full price for a PS5 at launch, then wait a little while and you can almost certainly play PS4 games on it, along with PS5 games.

Depends on who's buying/gaming.

There's nothing reasonable in saying 2021 or 2022, that would go far against past trends, Sony have mostly had 6 year gaps between the release of platforms, 7 years is the only outlier, which is accounted for by the economy problems of the 7th generation and the shift to X86 architecture.

The technology to enable a new console generation is going to be ready by the middle of this year, plenty of time for production of PS5 to start and AMD have even outright states their...

Navi is coming mid 2019, Ryzen is already here, same goes for viable memory options.

Sony didn't say they wouldn't have any new consoles out until 2021, they even called the PS4 Pro a mid-gen refresh in 2016, that's 3 years after PS4 launched, meaning holiday 2019 is when PS5 releases.

Polaris was only out for a few months before PS4 Pro launched, Navi comes in a similar time frame to Polaris.

You can't even use the exam...

Don't worry, it's not even remotely likely to be that late.
Generations are usually 6 years, the tech is ready this year to make it happen.
Sony have made plenty of money off of PS4 to be satisfied to put PS5 out this year.

2658d ago 6 agree5 disagreeView comment

Yeah, that's not happening, it's way too late!

This year or next year, most likely holiday 2019, because the technology is ready, games will be ready and most importantly early adopters that bought a PS4 at launch will be ready to upgrade.

Dev kits have been available to studios for ages, no one thinking logically or basing their opinions on facts thinks 2021 or beyond is even remotely likely.

There's no benefit in waiting t...

It was cancelled because of differences in design philosophies, basically MS wanted the game to be something Kamiya and his team didn't want it to be.

The game had been in development since before Bayonetta began work and it was initially supposed to be a dinosaur game on Wii.

The game shown wasn't doing anything that couldn't have worked on XB1, hell even a reduction in some visual areas could probably allow the game to work on Switch, but it...

Exactly, though the things that Scalebound was doing on XB1 weren't exactly that demanding, judging by the environments looking pretty sparse and there not being much life to those levels we saw.

A slightly more realistic art style compared to something like BoTW, smaller landscapes, but a good amount of physics simulation and it could still look very decent, even on Switch.

If Switch can run stuff like Doom Eternal, then it should be able to do epic ...
