The music in the game was finished, just some of it was rejected but they used it anyway without paying.

The low quality stuff is the separate soundtrack. I think, he never seemed to mention any dissatìsfaction with how the actual game turned out.

I'm not sure they need to accomodate hdds, win 10 is borderline unusable without a ssd, so it would be fair enough to make it a requirement.

But reviews are objective truth and everyone has the same opinions about everything and everyone shares the exact same taste, reviews should reflect this. My opinion is the right opinion and reviewers should able to predict what I feel.

The most well reviewed game of all time on steam is cutesy narrative driven walking simulator. So not sure it's entirely true. But the popular narrative games are rarely third person shooters.

But they are few and far between. Looking at all time popular steam games it points in all kinds of directions. Small narrative indie games, simulators, hardcore shooters, horror games, animu visual novels. Just seems like the pc crowd is different than the console crowd.

A good example of this is Death Stranding, ps4 gamers thought it was weird while pc gamers embraced it.

It is a bit weird that Obsidian and especially Bethesda seems to be carrying the entire load. They have so many studios and so little to show for it. Perhaps 2024 is packed with small and large projects.

There's a possibility that games like this are fairly unpopular on steam. Narrative driven shooters doesn't seem like something that has a life on the platform. Unless I'm missing something.

It's an opinion, one some happen to agree with. Personally the rpg elements made the first game worse, so removing them would be an improvement in my eyes.

We could turn the table and say that any reviewer who doesn't complain about it must be afraid of backlash. It's nonsense and a very weird and gamer like way to look at a review.

And Playground, they do the horizon games.

Not sure how it wok yet, but sometimes you can extend the trial by 3 months when starting the app on a new computer or ip or something. Got 6 months for free so far, paid 1 dollar in june and will auto-renew by april next year.

Unfortunately I don't really use it that much at the moment.

At some point they hinted that Bethesda games wouldn't be exclusive. That's not really what happened.

I don't use gamepass, lostly bought it to play 360 games. Never had a 360 so seemed like a decent idea. Then I noticed how easy it was to install retroarch.

Haven't bought an x game, but probably will when Forza 8 arrives.

2 hours seems unlikely on a first run. Took me around 8 and I didn't take my time.

I didn't mind the length. i think the main issue is that there's too few decent hubs to explore. I felt there was more substance to the areas in Re2 remake.

I wouldn't mind it if they cut some parts. Re4 is great, but there's parts I could do without. Would be the better game if they cut much of the final area.

They all do it. MS recently did the same with Medium, Scorn, Myst, Tunic, Blair Witch, Stalker 2 to name a few.

Nintendo has also been doing it a lot. Though I do think they seem to be acting more as a publisher for games no one wants to publish.

Like The Medium and Blair Witch.

Did it perform better on xbox than when originally released on ps4? And would it have performer better or worse if released on Switch instead?

Usually jrpg's seem to be headed primarily for Switch and Ps, so would be interesting if it turns out that most jrpg fans are xbox users.

Could use more grit though. Characters lools very clean and weirdly rubbery. But town loks neat, just hope they use that ugly looking otherworld transition from the movie, that they borrowed in both Homecoming and Downpour.

They used to transition in interesting and creative ways (Like climbing up the bell tower and emerging in another world), after the movie it just became an ugly vfx.

Fans wants to see the monsters and go wow

They haven't released much since the launch of Series X. So considering how many developers they own and considering time past, we're bound to see greater output in the coming years. They have quite a few games in spring 2023, so maybe this is a turning point for the release schedule.
