If we get a date for Stalker 2, that's all I need. Hoping for december, then it'll ptobably be out on ps5 around summer.
I know everyone thinks everything is shit, but still how often do we get a year with this many huge critically acclaimed AAA games (some of the unreleased ones could fail, but probably won't)?
Tears of the Kingdom
Baldurs Gate III
Spiderman 2
Starfield
Armored Core VI
Dead Space Remake
Hogwarts
Re4 Remake
Forza 8
Final Fantasy XVI
Mario Wonder
Stalker 2
Alan Wake ...
They can't because thet promised potential Series S that it would run games the same as series X with all the same features. People bought S based on that promise, there's no going back.
Now they have to honor it, they promised their customers parity. If they break that promise they screw over every customer who bought a Seried X, I doubt they'd ever do that.
Maybe if they make pro, then they are free of their promises. Though they will have to make two versions of every game. Doubt they'd ever skip a release in S.
Most AAA developers are jumping to current gen only. This is more noticeable if you only have a ps4. But I think most smaller developers will keep supporting both for quite a while, because why not?
But yeah, seems a bit early to be thinking about a pro version, all things considered. We've barely started exploring what the console is capable of.
It's wild that they might release a revised Playstation in a few months and yet they've said nothing.
Maybe if it was done internally, but this is more of a Nightdive thing. I think this had happened regardless of Ms acquisition.
It does limit the life of the game a bit. They'll probably kill it off in 3 years like they did with 7, but unlike 7 they can actually kill it off for good.
Then you'll get to wait years without Forza until the next one arrives. Like people who bought a series s and who didn't previously buy 7 online.
With that said, I'm going to enjoy it as long as it lasts. Been playing 6 a lot lately and it is a good time.
@Kyro
Really doubt it, I think it's more likely that they'll just drop some news on the blog at some point. Probably months before a new release.
Doesn't really feel like Sony is doing a lot aside from waiting to announce stuff. They barely even mention their third party deals, when's the last time Sony mentioned Silent Hill 2, if ever?
Things are looking good on the ps front, but I don't see much evidence of a big plan. They barely even talk about ps+, while MS mentions GP every chance they get. Didn't even announce the Sea of Stars day one deal themselves.
I think it's more the onoarding that scares newcomers. There's a lot of systems that you need to learn, which is something that doesn't really change with an easy mode.
Not that I mind, I think it's super cool that people are getting excited about a fairly complicated and dense crpg with (as far as I understand) a hostile/indifferent ui.
@dumahim
Just me being passive aggressive about the whole demand for changes to Elden Ring last year.
You can atleast try it, then play it proper when it gets cheaper. My moneys tied up in Baldurs Gate 3 and Armored Core VI that month.
While I have no intention of completing it first couple of months, I'm too curious to just let it sit there.
I'm hoping that I can use it when Starfield releases, it seems like you can use it multiple times if enough time passes.
Just trying to guess next weeks discourse.
And they were very different movies. This makes no sense.
It's very anti consumer that it doesn't feature an action mode. What about people who don't like turnbased strategy, they can't play the game!
They will keep these licenses, and even though some studios will be closed down, plenty will remain. Whether we will get new installments in Kain and Tomb Raider series remains to be seen.
Personally I'm rooting for the return of Thief and Deus Ex.
Sometimes I consider finding a way to make the "kings field maker" game work so I can make my own, or atleast figure out if the community ever made something cool with the tools.
@Piroh
That's the thing, we can keep going all day.
