I like it a lot, except for the nexus system. It kinda ruins the entire game. You can restart the levels instead, but some of them are kinda long, so I'll wait until they fix it.
If Death wasn't a reward, this could have been game of the year to me. But right now only consequence to death is that you gain full health and teleport to the nearest nexus point. Meaning you can't retry a failed encounter from the start. Dead enemies remain dead and damaged enemies re...
Saw the trailer at Realms Deep, this game looks really cool. Didn't expect it to arrive this soon!
No, wait a minute... This isn't the 8 bit fmv horror game. Wonder what that was called if not Insomnis.
I think the inevitable Front Mission game will be something akin to Triangle Strategy, budgetwise.
Most of the team behind Goldeneye and Perfect Dark formed Freed Radical and debuted with Timesplitters. But I think this happened before MS and they had made some divisive games on Gamecube before this.
Free Radical made Haze, so not sure there's a timeline where all was well.
I'd take point'n click Giger over action game any day. Would love a reimagining of Dark Seed. Not sure about Scorn though, will give it a shot, but looks a bit one-note in the atmosphere department.
Prodeus is close to great, but it's ruined its checkpoint system. In Prodeus you get rewarded for failing. When your health reaches 0, it goes back up to 100 while killed enemies remain killed. Dunno why they chose to do this in an otherwise potentially excellent game.
Hope someone finds a way to mod a proper checkpoint system into the game, should be fairly simple to do.
I still want one, but lack of BC means I'll waitm If I could use it to optimize my psvr1 library and the games I still haven't tried, I would have wanted to buy day one. Now I'll have to wait until they have built a decent library of games, which will take a year or two I'd wager.
The game that's in pre-pre-production?
Usually you reach a point where most of the people working on a game are out of work. You can't expand the base game because it needs to be ready for release, if you keep adding stuff, it'll never get done. So you can either fire the entire team or make dlc.
Well, optimally you wouldn't have to, but this is a gaming site, so we primarily talk about video game crunch.
They actually have to, it's mandatory, as far as I know. Atleast it will be soon.
Hoped for Quake 2 remaster. actually kinda expected it. I'm sad now.
@philm87
I do think that's what will happen. just weird that sony couldn't manage to have a trial for most of their own releases. It's not like they didn't have time to prepare.
Also, there's a huge amount of games that would qualify, so seems weird that we are still at 8. Perhaps we'll see a bunch in the coming months. Wonder how they will ensure that dead projects get a demo, force them to lower price?
They did promise demos for all games above a certain price point, which makes it better. Unfortunately they aren't doing what they promised, there's like 8 demos and Rollerdome makes it 9. That's far from what they promised.
Sackboy, Allstars and Deathloop.
The combat was great in Fractured, I wish you could take the story content from Stick and fuse it with combat from Fractured.
Still nothing on the ps1/2 front? Seems weird that they seem to ignore the expensive tier, the trial section also remains without updates.
Luckily she didn't write for it. Seeing how poorly she handled Fantastic Beasts, imagine her writing a video game.
@Tacoboto
She singlehandledy wrote the second one of those! She envisioned Nagini being Voldemorts mother.
Yeah, there's a lot more alien industrial penises in Gigers work than seem to be at display in Scorn. Looks more like popcultures idea of giger.
With that said, I do look forward to Scorn. A bit worried that it's going to be very samey. I prefer some contrast, I liked how the Dark Seed games had some alieneqsue nightmare stuff sprinkled into a normal world, made it work. Scorn seems like something that could get old fast, because everything is hell world.
That would be nice. I prefer to resume from a savepoint or menu instead of in the middle of something. It's always a mess when I start Forza 5, because apparently I have a habit of quitting in thd middle of a race.
