I don't think this means anything. I think they would share Silent Hill news regardless of their current involment at this point. But it would be nice if one of the games involved parts of the original team. And would be super nice if all the games had a brand new Akira yamaoka soundtrack, preferably featuring a bunch of songs with former SH vocalists.
While we'll surely get several SH projects in the coming years, expecting anything related to P.T. is setting yourself up for dissapointment. Sadly.
Yeah, Myst is a good comparison. There's a lot of exploring rooms and figuring out contraptions. I like this part of the game more than i like the shooty parts.
Wouldn't say there's nothing like it. Reminds me a lot of Amnesia: Rebirth. It has strong frictional vibes. I like it, but I do miss the contrast between desert and alien horror world in amnesia. Wish they had added some kind of extra layer for sake of atmospheric variety.
I had drops on serie x, doesn't run particularily well when encountering some of the first enemies.
But generally runs well and looks great. They got some impressive enviroment art.
I think I usually skip all cutscenes in Bayonetta games. Not sure how she sounds. But doesn't matter, they should pay up. Might be a decent pay for an entry level VA but not surprising if she'd expect more considering it's her third game in the role.
@Isarai
To be fair, Dead Space Remake must have been in development long before anyone heard about Callisto protocol. it's just a weird coincidence or maybe it's just been more and more apparent that there's a market for Dead Space.
Maybe until Yomawari 3 releases.
@Retroman
They hit rockbottom with Payback and Heat was big step in the right direction. Not the greatest game ever, but the closest to a truly good game NFS have been in a while. So that bodes well for a Unbound. Just hope they don't drop the ball, as they've done so many times before.
@MrPumblechook
Isn't it an online only multiplayer shooter?
Maybe they have confidence in the game, maybe it's a good nfs game for a change. A game without caveats. I choose to be hopeful.
By confidence i mean they know it's good and game will speak for itself.
They ditched all that in Heat. Wouldn't be too worried.

Danish wages. I might be going a bit high, it's possible that danish wages are higher than us, because stuff is expensive af around here and we pay lile 40% in taxes. So perhaps it should be divided by 3 or something. Dunno, what's the average pay of a gamedevloper in us?
Just calculated, 380k pr year is a pretty low yearly salary around here. An entry level game developer would get something in the ballpark of 470k around here.
They really needed a vision for Most Wanted. It' such a stylistic mess, like what is going on what the insanely out of place mission introductions? They were so weird and the style was all over the place.
I think they ran out of time developing Most Wanted. Such a weird game and seem like they just slapped something together last minute after creating the world and physics.
I think Ghost were closer at getting it right, but their games also seem a bit rushed. Heat was quite good, actually. Just give them one more year to develop a game and I think they could hit it out of the park.
I guess there won't be any profit until they exceed the price of all the studios they bought. Probably gonna take a couple years to recoup the price of Activision.
I've only paid for 1 month this year, have had atleast 6 months of trials.
I guess you could hire 500 gamedevelopers for around 189 million dollars a year, don't know how many they have, probably 1-2000. Rough estimate based on my own salaries in the business. So that's probably feasible, question is what the upkeep is for the service is. I would suppose that there's more to it than hiring developers.
But could also result in companies having to pay artists for using their work, which is a good thing. It's unusual, but why should a tattoo have less worth than a painting, song or a logo?
Cultic and Phantom Fury are no brainers. Chasm rerelease is also worth a look.
