If people are alienated by something like this, who cares? Let them be alienated.
You don't really have to follow the conversation. You also don't have to click on headlines you find uninteresting.
I'd ve somewhat satisfied if this was the list. 5 ps1/psp games and perhaps 5 ps2 games the following update, that'd be okay. Would still like bigger updates, but it would be acceptable.
Current update is super weak, gonna take forever to build up a decent retro library at this pace.
The extra additions seems decent, espcially if this is what we should expect every month. Premium is a dissapointment, no ps1 or ps2?
They said they expanded the levels, and gameplay is updated with all refinement from the sequel.
Yeah, but this is easier because they can reuse the code they just created for tlou2. Creating a remake of something else would kinda defeat the entire purpose of this excerise and require a full team and a ton of resources.
And people would respond well to remaster number 2? Besides, if the point was to give art department and level designers something to do, instead of firing them, then a remaster might have been waay too little work. Level designers wouldn't even be needed for that.
@Jin_Sakai
I'm of the impression that they started work on the game because the art department and Leveldesigners needed something to do while Tlou2 was being finished. Perhaps the other projects still had a while to go before these people could start working. Meanwhile, this is something they could easily work on using TLOU2 as a starting poing.
Well, if it plays like Tlou2 and features expanded levels, is it really the same experience? I won't pay 70, will just wait a week or two for a discount, besides where I'm from all games ends up costing the same as the ps4 titles at retail anyway, so probably won't even be 70 at launch. But I didn't like the first Tlou, so would probably get a lot out of this remake as I highly enjoyed Tlou2s gameplay
@Raidenblack
And even worse, no good sequel to Blood.
They have a great catalog, a shame it's going to waste.
How anyone could complain about lacking "bang for your buck" in regards to Elden Ring is beyond me. The game is beyond huge.
There's no basis for a game in this demo, they'd have to practically start over from scratch.
I usually just wait a year or two and then replay from the beginning, don't see any need for so called "replay value", if the game is good it's replayable.
Last Call BBS seems a bit interesting, looking forward to trying it out.
Part of the appeal was that it was a combo of Suda51s weird ideas and James Gunns writing. It was a bot rough around the edges, fighting system worked well enough but the minigames were a bit wonky.
2-3 hours seems like a generous estimate :p.
Well, you can't reall expect a service to be fully catered to your specific taste. If it was, most other people would probably find it kinda crappy.
All services is bound to include a lot of stuff some people would dislike, just means there's variety which in turn raises the chance that everyone can find something they'd enjoy.
The mandatory gimmick races are a bit of a bad habit in FM games, atleast since 5. Also dislike the heavy amount of unskipable cutscenes and dialouge in FM5 and perhaps 7.
@Surgicalmenace
People in power should strive to improve the world. Luckily some do exactly that. Unfortunately plenty use their position to destroy the world, that's less fortunate.
