I'm sure that it will have solid tech and gameplay. It's bound to with that team.
The first screenshot of Concord looked enticing, but the games nasty Marvel aesthetic is a huge turnoff. And no spaceships? Why did they tease it with a spaceship?
But I could imagine it being popular, looks like something that could be popular. Looks obnoxious.
Problem with Gamepass lack of growth is that they might be potentially be scraping the barrel for what's possible without a larger installbase. It will be interesting to see the effects. I can't imagine it will make people buy xboxes in droves. I guess they need Cod to make an impact on GP growth, what happens if that fails? Cause the it will without a doubt just lead to lower Cod numbers and less money earned.
I imagine the art style will stay the same. But there'll probably be some visual upgrades here and there.
Probably not even that big of a difference. Coalition might only have helped because they got a deadline to meet.
Unreal isn't nearly as bad as Unity when you update a project. Though it obviously depends on the project. But unity generally gets an aneyurism if you threaten to update, where Ue is usually less stingy.
Was unaware that Verdict Day was rare, glad I still own my copy. Game is very good.
Maybe because it's different?
Personally I liked the puzzles and combat more in the first one and the story was better.
@Lodosrage
Some indies have claimed that they sold more on other platforms after they got discovered on gamepass.
I had a game on gamepass and I think our player count was a lot higher than it would have been under normal circumstances. Sales haven't been that impressive, but the player count helped greenlight a succesful spin off.
They could do FFIx next year, or this holiday. There was less than a year between FFXVI and Rebirth.
I think we'll mostly see things that are releasing this year. Maybe Ghost Of Tsushima 2, but wouldn't expect to be much wiser about the 2025 lineup before sometime in 2025.
Sometimes it pays off in exposure. There are games that have succeded because of gamepass. Maybe partly because being on gamepass also usually gives you marketing from Microsoft.
But it can probably be a double edged sword.
Talos Principle is the real loss.
You do know that people have different opinions?
Freedom of speech is important, unless you want a black character in your story. That is not allowed, says the anti-woke police.
I don't think publishers have the money to make that happen. They can barely sustain the current level of fidelity.
They would need to commit to rereleasing psp,ps1 and ps2 titles and history has shown that they'd rather not.
@CrazyCoconuts
I also think it sounds a little off. I would probably buy if it could run Ps5 games, but that sounds expensive. Being ps4 only is a little limiting I think.
But if it ran all ps4 titles and new stuff created for the handheld. then it could be interesting. Basically a Vita that just happened to come with a huge ass backlog of existing games.
When they promised to release COD games on Switch for 10 years, it seems unthinkable that they can do some wild next gen cod game. It would need to be able to be scaled down for Switch 2 hardware, which will probably be like a ps4.
But maybe if they went very expensive and powerful handheld hybrid? They could probably compete against Steamdeck.
In theory they themselves could develop a big pile of exclusives. They don't really need thirdparty exclusivitiy, except that they are fumbling their studios, it seems.They aren't having the output you'd expect at this point.
It's good, The Quarry is worth a look while you wait.
