I believe the movie will be downloadable on XBL so Xbox users are actually getting the short end?
Please, post a link or components for the $400-700 PC that can run Resident Evil 5 from start to finish with the same quality and consistency as a PS3 or Xbox.
No slowing to a crawl while something reads or writes to the HD, whether it's a game or Windows, no sound skippling, screen tearing, frame dropping. I really wanna see what you come up with ...
I do. But not bad enough to buy a Kinect to do it. Maybe when it's $49.99
I've never bought a console basketball game. I'm buying this one, because of Jordan. Doesn't matter? OK, sure. What else can they say? We're toast?
Whoever posted this is engaging in Yellow Journalism with the title change.
Conclusion:
"Whether in movies or gaming operations, the integrated adapter, the new Xbox 360 "Slim" makes his service impeccable."
And how much did the rest of the PC cost? And how well did it sustain the 100+ FPS throughout the game?
Given the quality and sustained performance of consoles, a high-end PC to deliver the same overall sustained experience is going to cost you 5-10x what a PS3 or Xbox costs.
Running it, and running it right are two different things.

Those are my "meatiest" but the whole point of arcade games is to be nuggets. Jump in and enjoy from the word go.
Welcome to casual gaming my friend. You're going to get p0wned. It's part of the growing up process. I did appreciate buying all the cars on Burnout Paradise when I realized going to work everyday would make it take months, maybe a year to do it through play.
With FPS' & TPS' and such, maybe purchasing the weapons for nominal fees will be the answer. Should unbalance the games too much. We'll still get p0wned by dedicated players with hours-in honing a...
Can't speak for the whole series but UC2 is GOTY worthy.
This is all very interesting but if the WP7 devices don't deliver the GPS performance and openness of the iPhone's GPS, I'm not giving up the iPhone.
The brick more than the tray. But given it's heat problems, no way they can get the power inside. Maybe 720.
Production yields, not design most likely.
That does seem like an awfully long time for modest improvements. I think MS is feeling pressure to justify this new model to all those who experienced RROD, purchased a waaay over-priced proprietary HD and Wifi adapter.
Don't get me wrong, I love XBL and XBLA, and will trade-in my Elite to get a 350S, but those who bought the over-priced HD and Wifi are probably looking for some Vaseline right about now.
I don't hate it, just don't see anything appealing. I'm not even sure about navigation anymore. It will be cool to try, once or twice, but I think it will be more effecient to use the wireless controller.
The only thing I could seemyself using this for is a boxing game, it would have to be a Punch Out sort of thing because moving around the ring doesn't lend itself well to this.
I've already answered all of those, you just don't agree with it which is fine, except:
" Is there any game on consoles with the scale of battle on top of a moving object?"
No, but I don't find that to be all that impressive, definitely not something that would make me say, this can't be done on another console. Can't be, and hasn't been, are two different things. And that is the topic of this thread.
Stupid Family Feud has no chat. Would love to private chat with opponent while playing. Makes thegae almost worthless.
My bad. You did not say "best graphics ever." UC2 GOW threads running together in my head.
Heavenly sword definitely had framerate problems but I thought it looked better overall and would love to see it remade now that devs know how to take better advantage of the SPUs. I thought the voice acting and pacing/direction were in a league of their own, Uncharted 2 is in the same ballpark, and it set the standard for breaking the repetitiveness of button mashers with s...
Don't have to know what went into it to know what came out. I was more impressed with Heavenly Sword. The scale, overrated. Make one big polygon and shrink the primary and you have scale. I'm not impressed.
And GOW III just doesn't look "that" good. It's a good HD button masher. Nothing spectacular. That's my opinion. I accept that you believe it is the "best graphics ever in a console game." I just disagree with that. Hell, I find Wipe...
Arcade was meant for those who primarily want to play XBLA games, casual, arcade stuff. 4GB should be enough. Throw in a cheap 16GB USB and you have 20GB without a HD.
I'd like to see it go for $149 not $199.
We're not trying to replace a general computing PC with a console. People here are saying you can replace a console for gaming, with a $400 pc and get equal consistent game performance.
I've been building PCs since brain dead 286's and the system you spec'd will hiccup. It will not play RE5 from start to finish with no serious frame drops or stuttering here and there.
If you want a PC that can play games acceptably, sure. But you cannot get co...
