Game journalists are less like major news journalists and more like a company controlled forum or blog. There is very little credibility an highly sensational articles.
This gen is pretty much done for me; I can't bring myself to pay $60 for games that I consider in my graphics/AI/physics/jaggy/fram erate whore mind, are last-gen.

I wouldn't mind if Sony or MS waited for the other to release first, assessed the competitions specs then released 3 months after with better hardware.
99% of my favourite games are multiplats, this has been the only gen where the later released console didn't surpass the former in the graphics department for every multiplat (Xbox looked better than PS2, PS2 better than Dreamcast, etc). I don't believe the mistake will be re...
RPGs used to be my favourite genre....looking at that list, I'm starting to think I've changed, they've changed, or they haven't evolved.
1) Redesigned Controller
2) Vastly improved OS (including but not limited to changing system setting from within game)
3) Better online functionality (one-two button presses to accept game invites, reply to messages, check newly unlocked trophies, etc.)
4) Bluetooth or headset included in every box
5) Standard HD
6) Spend all the money they would spend on BC on more RAM (keep your PS3 people for the odd time you feel like playing last-gen games)

Worldwide sales are what matter most, how come no major company like NDP does worldwide.

Looks like PS3 will have slightly higher total sales than 360 by the end of the gen, but they pretty much tied which is a win win for MS and a win for Sony.
Wii U is currently in trouble; however, I'm sure things will pick up once a AAA game finally releases.
They better not sacrifice power for multimedia and kinect functionality.

Movies, Bluray looks and sounds significantly better than any stream I've seen.
If PS4 is going to be more powerful it will be my console of choice. MS should learn that casuals can't be relied on - look at Wii U. They already dropped Nintendo for their phones and iPads.
I always eventually get at both non-nintendo consoles a gen but in terms of my main and first console...90% of my favourite games are multiplats so the console with the superior looking multiplats will get my dollars. If they are both the same graphically, I'll go with the cheaper online.
I can wait for a couple price drops to get the other console to play Halo/Gears or Uncharted/Killzone/GOW.

Play Pitfall, it's much better.
Looks like PS4 is a bit more focused on power and 720 is bit more focused on multimedia functionality.
The only reason I stopped playing Halo 4 MP is I stopped paying for Live Gold. It's just not worth it, as I also have a PS3.
