@MikeMyers: Have a bubble vote for being helpful. I have video top tens so whoever reported you should stop doing that.
So is television, books and internet. Difference is it would be hard to lose $50000 gaming but quite easy gambling. I also wonder how much gaming shortens lifespan.
The problem isn't addiction per se, it's the consequences of addiction. If I was addicted to carrots, broccoli and daily exercise it wouldn't be a bad thing.
As far as addictions go, I think gaming is no worse than TV and internet addiction - it can lead to a sedentary lifestyle. ...
$30 too much for me but a deal for other I suppose.
Top 3:
Sleeping Dogs
Far Cry 3
Halo 4
Honorable Mentions:
ME3
Max Payne
Dishonored
NHL13
DL'd Walking Dead yesterday and haven't played it yet
Clearly N4G does not represent the average gamer and must be comprised of the more avid gamer. I guarantee at $600-$800 dollars a console will struggle to sell.
Stop buying games, that's what I did. Now I'm on this perfect schedule where every game I get is discounted at least $20 because it's several months old.
It's wonderful and makes me less critical of minor flaws. At $60 I was like "this game better be f'ing perfect" at $20-$40, I'm like, "for the price, this game is amazing".
Not saying it's bad just saying that if Forza 4 and Forza Horizon released in the same year, my vote would go to Forza 4.
I just think Forza 4 is much better.
Graphic quality is relative, at one time Metal Gear Solid 1 looked amazing, but as technology increases what once looked amazing begins to look ok then starts looking bad.
So yeah, console graphics look OUTDATED over time. It's a no brainer really.
Whether it has $600 hardware at launch or $400 it doesn't matter, a 10 year old console will never have high quality graphics because in 10 years when you phone has better graphics it will have $125 hardwa...
Probably but that doesn't mean it's a great game. It pretty much won by default.
It doesn't matter if they're priced $400 or $600, after 5 years the graphics will look outdated or the games won't run properly. All that extra $200 means is that the graphics will be slightly less outdated looking in 5 years.
I prefer starting off at $400 and releasing a new one after 5-6 years.
Better be, if not I'll probably lose interest in gaming.
I'd love for PS4 to drop the old Dual Shock design.
The only reason I bought the majority of my multiplats on 360 instead of PS3 is due to my dislike of the DS3 controller. It's over 15 years old, I think it's time for a redesign to catch up to advancements in ergonomics.
You can find a PS2/xbox/gamecube at gamestop no problem and even cheaper on craigslist.
If you want N64/SNES/NES download the games on PC for free.
By the time you can't find 360/PS3 in stores you'll be able to DL the games free on PC. Just keep your games and you'll always be able to play them for the 1hr a year you want to.
NRA Logic: "Guns don't kill people, people kill people"
if so, using that logic then, "Videogames don't kill people, people kill people".
I think both are true. Some people are just insane and need professional help. It's a matter of statistics, a certain percentage of the population will always be born insane or with a predisposition towards insanity.
I do think that guns play a role in a lot more murders t...
I think Lightning is one of the worst FF protagonists in the series. She's boring and consequently so are the games. The biggest current problem with FF IMO is that the characters aren't very interesting and the villains aren't villainous or complex enough. It's a game based on story with a terrible cast.
I have no idea what's going on with the FF team but they can't get the protagonist/antagonist dynamic right at all and that's what has alway...
Totally agree.
I don't see why gamers complain about lack of BC when they get a new-gen console either. 95% of the games they play would likely be next-gen games.
By the time next-gen consoles come out the trade-in value of PS3/360 will be negligible, just keep the old system for the odd time you want to play last-gen games.
I rather console makers put the money they would have spent on BC towards better specs/features/quality parts/inc...
If guns don't kill people - people kill people
Then videogames wouldn't kill people because people kill people.
NRA logic fails.
This is all moot, Wii U doesn't/won't have the majority of multiplatforms.
Sitting above by a one percent market-share, talk about being a pedant.
360 is 6foot 4
PS3 is 6foot 3
big deal.
Give me a taste of the next-gen PLEASE! Just a quarter of a screenshot of a PS4/NeXbox would be satisfy me.
This will be the biggest E3 in half a decade.
