Last gen based on MS and Sony's pre-launch showings and rumours I decided to get a 360 (then later got a PS3 after a price reduction).
This gen, based on what I've seen and heard, it's PS4 all the way.
No
I'm most excited about HD audio. Sound is the only aspect of a game that can fully represent reality. It really helps make a game more immersive.
I spent a lot of money on my sound system, the restrictions of DVD have resulted in sound taking a back seat this generation, although PS3 exclusives like Uncharted sounded amazing.
I live in Canada which may as well be a 3rd world country in terms of bandwidth caps and internet pricing so I welcome physical media, without it I'd use of my monthly allowance downloading a single game.
They both had 512, just a different configuration.
Shouldn't kid, it's completely true.
I have both consoles too, all my friends switched over to PSN after their 360s broke or they just felt paying for Live was stupid. I live in Canada, pay more than the US for Live but don't get all the features.
MS left a very bitter taste in my mouth this gen.
PS4 can launch with some good exclusives. No way MS is launching will Halo, and if they did, what would be next.
MS spent 500 mill advertising Kinect, they should have bought Bioware and kept/grew Bungie. But they rather chain Bungie to only making Halo games and let the EA pick up Bioware a year and a half before.
MS took the Nintendo pill and is going down the tubes chasing casuals, when iPhone/Android/Tablets/Faceboo k already have them and gives games a...
Still too much.
Not to me, I just wanted to know about the specs, didn't need to see the casing.
In fact, I'm kind of confused why people are making a big deal about not revealing the hardware case - seems like pseudo-gamers, MS fanboys, or biased media outlets looking for something to complain about.
In the newspapers I see headlines saying "No System Reveal" when it should say "8gigs GDDR5 RAM!" or "Redesigned Controller", you know, th...
It wil make web browsing great too.
I hated the DS3 but the DS4 looks perfect.
The worst part of Xbox entertainment focus is that MS charges you extra to access them (Netflix, YouTube, IE, etc) when every other device on the planet offers them free.
I lovedy 360 but after multiple RROD, ridiculously over priced peripherals (HD, wifi, etc) and pay to play for fundental parts of a game (basic MP), 360 has left a very bad taist in my mouth going into the next-gen.
I view Playstation much more favourably. I'd have to be floored by The N...
I was an Xbox fan, price gouging made me a PS3 fan. I don't see things changing anytime soon.
The way the narrative played out over the second and third game, your not missing much by not having Gears.
I really don't care about Home
Free online MP option and equal or greater power or I'm waiting for it to drop to $200 in 4 years
Smart revealing first (sorry Nintendo), gamers have been starving for a glimpse of the next-gen and Sony served up a very healthy portion.
The specs Sony released aren't a lie. It may even look better on a PS4 with optimization so relax.
What it was during the N64 and GameCube era...not first place.
And now with less graphics.
