1. 90% of game journalists/bloggers.
2. 70% of dedicated online MP gamers.
3. Patcher and Molyneux.
It would never be a launch tittle, way to few systems owners to warrant a launch release.
Most big launch games are first party or made with an exclusive deal with first party's.
Am I the only person that thinks most new release games for my PS3/360 seem like last-gen games and aren't worth $60.
I can't bring myself to pay full price for 99% of new release games anymore, the systems are pushed to far and the graphics are either too blurry, choppy, screen tearing etc.
Although I think GTA6, Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite may be exceptions (largely due to wealth of content or innovative experiences). Most games however, just ...
Well that depends if the future has free online MP and allows you to access youtube, netflix, etc. without paying an addition $60 first.
Will MS do a lot of multimedia functions and multitasking better than PS4? Yes.
Will it be worth the price of a brand new AAA game a year? NO.
When it comes down to it, a new great game is always better than all the incidental adjuncts to gaming.
Either free online MP or the next Xbox can wa...
Mass market aka casuals couldn't give a shit about paying more than 1.99 for videogame.
Mass market is playing on their phones, tablets, browser, and facebook.
Wii was like a gateway drug, but they found better dealers with cheaper product that satisfies their needs just fine.
It will pick up a bit when their real games come out (Zelda, Metroid, etc.) But the casuals are mostly gone to phones, pads and facebook games, which also don't cost 50 bucks to jump in and probably satisfy their gaming needs better.
My prediction is that Wii U sells better than Gamecube but not much more than 45 mill.
Nintendo put themselves into a hole for a short term gain - they are not considered a game machine for dedicated gamers - the ones that vi...
Square-Enix has published some of my favourite games this gen:
Sleeping Dogs
Dues Ex
I liked it.
Nothing spectacular but certainly not bad. Typical game journalist hating because he's can find any real news.
Try being a journalist and break a story, don't make up one.
I always knew casuals couldn't be relied upon. They've moved on to the 99 cent games on their phones and pads.
One of the best games last year imo.
I never thought Sessler was funny, but honestly none of those G4 people were. I did and do think Sessler is an honest and fair game/game-industry critic who doesn't pull too many punches and pander to publishers. Also, I think he is a true gamer that wants to see this industry develop in a mature way.
Can't ask for more than that in this industry full pseudo journalists.
No, just make them better so they sell more.
Vita is great hardware but a failure.
Maybe if new releases were 19.99 would it be interesting.
No next-gen games will have next gen engines. Current PC games are just HD 60 FPS versions of console games with better textures and lighting.
Next-gen engines will make console games look fairly different than current PC games.
It destroyed my love for the series, Gears 3 had a chance to save it for me, and the MP was good but the SP story was so horrible and facile that the series has lost its appeal.
Why can't sony make a great smart phone?
Good to know, definitely not getting a Wii U or any Nintendo system. What happend to him is unacceptable.
Nintendo sold John a broken console, then in addition to the hassle of having to exchange it, punished him for buying their broken console by stealing his games.
On PC yes, on consoles no.
If even only one gamer loved it then it should have...
...of course not from a financial point of view.
I remember when the only time your could get a demo was by buying a $13 magazine.
...I just remembered why I thought Xbox Live was a good deal.
My, how the times have changed. Now I think Live is a complete rip off, which it is.
