I bought Gears 1-3. Gears 1 was probably one of my favourite games of the gen but the series stagnated by the 3rd version (especially in the story/character development department) and now I have no interest in the series. Same old.
Maybe next gen with some new gameplay and most importantly an epic story that the first one alluded to but the sequels never accomplished.
I hope MS is still not enforcing the rule where games are not aloud to be different on other consoles.
I couldn't imagine buying a game and have it not work well enough to play it.
I don't have the patience for PC gaming, I'd completely lose my shitt. Although, I still want to build a gaming PC.
I'm Canadian and I wish they showed what percentage play PS3 vs 360. I don't know anyone who has a 360 anymore (everyone started with 360 then switched after it broke or just for the free online). Ever person I've talked to and all my friends think paying for online is plain stupid.
I only recently agreed with them (Dec 2012).
That didn't impress me at all. Still excited for PS4 though.
I have lost respect for Nividia, they seem sooo petty.
Are you talking about that 2D sidescroller which is rightfully in the same league as PSN/Arcade games for $15.
It's stupid to pay anything for it. Maybe that's why the only country 360 sold more was in the US because in Canada the average Craiglist deal is $50..and even at $35 too much hassles for something that really should just be free.
But enjoy throwing your money away, as long it makes you feel good I guess?
Hope it's the PS4 version too. Just want to see what it's capable of compared to PC.
I hope SP is US vs China fictional war. Retaliation for excessive cyber crimes, which is rooted in reality and terrifying.
So Wii U really just is Wii2 but with less casual and core appeal.
Wii Sports and Zelda at launch versus Nintendoland and Nothing lol
Yes they built momentum and cast a shadow on MS. People were salivating for some real next gen news and Sony got everyone excited by promising a true next gen console.
Now everyone's wondering how will MS compete with Sony nor how Sony will compete with MS.
Plus MS is more favoured by journalists so Sony avoided biased comparisons that could have occurred had they revealed together at E3 by quasi-gaming but very popular sites like CNET and Newspapers (a...
I'm happy Sony went with the better priced deal. Saves gamers money.
My number 1 was paying approximately $300 on Xbox Live over the gen to play games online when every other device on the planet offers it free. Never again. And no, it's really not that much better than other offerings, at least not worth a new AAA game a year. Not even close. I feel stupid for paying for it. It's not even the amount, I can afford it easily without even noticing, it's the principle. I just can't support those business practices.
I was actually disappointed by their effort to de-sexualize Laura. They reduced the realism. Boobs should have had some slight movement, irrespective of size. They gave her pants instead of traditional shorts, made her face less appealing, and gave her a very modest bottom.
In terms of Hollywood/TV standards, she would be sub par.
I hate when people cave to the ignorant masses. Only the people claiming sexism only see the sexy part of a person/character. ...
The article couldn't be more wrong.
First of all, Laura isn't very sexualized in this version of Tomb Raider at all - she looks like a normal girl with above average breasts which we all see everyday (particularly in women her age) but she's covered in dirt and looks like hell, especially with that exhausted forlorn facial expression. She's not even wearing shorts anymore. I think the devs tried to hide "Laura Crofts" sexuality as much as possibl...
I smell another God of War.
Last great game of the gen is a new IP that turns into a huge franchise.
I hope the money saved trying to get the game to work as desired on the console results in more games releasing less buggy and with more experimental and novel ideas.
I always hear, "yeah we had this great idea, but not enough time to get it working"
Pretty much the only thing that made me keep my 360 this gen after several dead consoles and the price gouging was the games. Then they lost Mass Effect Exclusivity, sold Bungie and turned Fable into the most casual RPG in the market. Gears 2 MP released broken and suddenly MS didn't have many exclusives, certainly not enough to make it's library better than PS3s.
What it did have though, and what kept me buying games on my 360 over my PS3 was that the majority of m...
Good cutscenes that expand an intricate story with many themes dealing with politics, war, morality, the relative nature of good and evil, honour, friendship, society, sacrifice, betrayal, nature vs nurture, etc. makes a game great.
The Walking dead is essentially a long cutscene but it tells a story better than most games which made it so popular.
It's hard to tell an intricate story without cutscenes. I recognize that Half-Life did it but gameplay is st...
Not one care is given for Playstation Home...by me.
