That's my point you haven't mentioned ESRAM bottleneck or the fact that Xbox One GPU has only half the pixel fill rate at all. THEY ARE the biggest reasons for the performance gap.
You've simply highlighted a few comparatively minor differences (granted shader performance is quite significant as well).
1920x800 is still over 1.5m pixels, add to that the next gen graphics and 30fps is excusable.
Put it another way, if this was on Xbone it would be 720P/30fps at best... or they would have to dumb the graphics down a la Forza 5.

No offense to the editor but this article is a little basic, there's no mention at all of ESRAM or 16 v 32 ROPS (pixel fill rate) which are two of the biggest reasons why Xbone lags so far behind PS4.
You would have thought they will release one eventually otherwise what happens when consoles start dying? even the hardcore Kinect fanboys will resent having to keep paying for surplus Kinect devices just to get a new working console.
PS4 is the greatest console in the universe.

Of course they do but if the gameplay of a game is crap nobody cares about the graphics, is it a crime for wanting great games to look and run optimally as well? 1080P and 60fps simply offers a much more pleasant experience than 720P and 30fps and enhances the gameplay.
Aren't the buttons and case all plastic? how is he getting electric shocks through non-conductive surfaces? is this one of Microsoft's smear campaigns?

Am I the only one that thinks this is probably a ruse? create a **** storm about textures to take the attention away from the fact that the game is only 720P... that way on release day everyone is thinking "rejoice! the textures aren't crap afterall!" instead of "720P wtf?"
Cerny and those who worked with him to design PS4 need a huge pat on the back, all of the modifications they've made to PS4's GPU to enhance compute performance will ensure that the gap to Xbone remains roughly the same if not widens in a few years.
I'd love to be fly on the wall in Microsoft HQ, they've done the console development equivalent of turning up to a gun fight with a knife.

Only way they could compete with PS4 was to scrap the ESRAM (which is a band aid for slow DDR3), fit 8GB GDDR5 and a better GPU.
Even without Kinect Xbone doesn't deserve to be the same price as PS4 considering the inferior specification.
Like the article says ESRAM is just a continuation of EDRAM in Xbox 360... it worked well last generation Microsoft just didn't expect Sony architects to be so proficient when designing PS4.
So if this article correct not only is Xbone hobbled massively by its GPU (compared to PS4) but ESRAM as well.

I agree the AMD CPU is weak by PC standards but PS4 and XBO have the very same CPU, infact rumour has it that the XBO is clocked faster.
The main problem XBO has is it's GPU bottlenecked at high resolutions, if they had fitted a better GPU like Sony they could have bumped up the resolution without the frame-rate dropping.
If people want quality alone they'll buy a movie, AAA actors, real life graphics... we want gameplay thanks and lots of it, otherwise we wouldn't buy a GAME.
