Meh! Regardless of whether the share button lets us upload to YouTube, we'll be able to do it with capture cards easily. There's no reason to think the current HDCP/HDMI work-a rounds won't work on the ps4.
Seriously. We'll be uploading PS4 gameplay to YouTube from day one. YouTube vids are one of the best grass roots promotional tools for a game, nothing will stop the letsplayers etc.
They'll both require *insanely* specced pcs though to emulate the strange custom hardware though. The bandwidth just isn't there on the PC side yet.
Give it a few years though.
You obviously DO care. Or you wouldn't be so bitter about it.
Let the PC guys enjoy their hardware superiority (for now?), every platform has its strengths and weaknesses, but their copies of multi plats do tend to embarrass everyone else's.
Eerrrr.. Why the hell not? R* are supportive of all the modding and extra longevity it gives their games. GTA4 mods are popular and do nobody any harm.
You know modders will make the PC version eventually look insanely nice years down the line too.
They don't care about he off contract prices as it's a tiny percentage of their sales.. It's a cheaper handset for people on contracts. Not worth updating from a 5 to but appealing to people who still have 4s and stuff.
You're on n4g! That should've become clear immediately.
Haha, dont name your console something that so easily shortens to XBone then? Its not as if they HAD to call it that, and they shouldve expected this.
What is it with tech companies and stupid product names?
If your friend has a high bandwidth low latency connection..
It does sound awesome though.
Minecraft and TLOU are my two games of the last 5 years.. (and high in the list for all time) Eclectic tastes, but yeah.. Minecraft is super special.
Quick experiment guys!
Get your PC... Overclock it by 150mhz.. Come back and tell me how much difference it makes to game performance!
.. Actually don't bother, I already know the answer. Not much.
.. It's still good news for the XB1 though, the higher specced both platforms are the better it is in the long run for us and the devs. :)
Gluten of FPS sequels?
Are you on a gluten free diet?
Silliness aside, agreed.. Ryse looks interesting but I have a feeling it's not going to be v good.
Someone will likely patch in razr edge support as well as make it work with the Rift.. Cant wait until VR gets more widespread..
Oculus Rift DayZ sounds fun/traumatic too.
They werent complaining? Where did that rant come from?
The pressures to work factory jobs in china are pretty different to the west - and i dont think you could call a lot of it "unskilled" either.
Or maybe youre trolling..?
The press they'd get from broken and potentially insecure software wouldnt be worth it. Opening the floodgates before its polished up would be silly.
1m people pre-ordered a finished console, not one thats still in beta. Ouya is an open(ish) atform which hype depended on good will and tweakability, mostly selling to the geek audience and people wanting homebrew/emulation..
PS4 has to ensure everything is totally ready before letting people use it - the st...
Hmm.. Theres still fun to be had in a lot of bad games.. I just bought it.. But will probably regret it.
I just hope if its as bad as it used to be its at least entertainingly glitchy. :/
Its a joke..
Or play games on both and get the best of both worlds. There are a lot of games that look and play better on PC.
But obviously Sony have great exclusives too.
Threats of violence and actual harassment, like phone calls and swatting are really bad news. Anyone saying "they should learn to take it" has it completely wrong.
Having your family harassed (by proxy) just because you're a known developer is disgusting, and the various networks need to come down on offenders powerfully.
Putting the number of subscribers in context, he has more subs than the lifetimes sales of any single game in the Gears Of War, Uncharted or Zelda franchises.. (Covering my bases there, lol)
He obviously appeals to people outside the usual gaming demographics too. I think he has a big positive effect bringing people in and spotlighting indy (usually horror) titles.
Don't worry. They'll work. Or I'll eat a hat/other object of anyone's choosing.
HDCP is easily bypassed over HDMI and Sony won't have come up with anything beyond that, as it's the industry standard. If they put extra levels of encryption or copy protection the target displays would have to support it first.. Sony wouldn't release a console that only works on TVs that don't exist.
