But the title actually makes sense given the context of the article, just not for the reasons people are jumping to the conclusion of.
I dont fully agree with the article but it makes some decent points.
90% of the commenters havent even read the article by the look of it.
The writer doesnt even seem to like Remember Me much.
Wow, whats the point?
This echo chamber of idiocy, cherry-picking and misrepresentation stinks.
Cant wait for the next generation to begin so at least people have something objective to tear into needlessly.
Wow, thats conpletely not how it works!
No it doesnt, nor has any Sony console to date.
And thats not a big deal at all.. Games running on macs and linux use openGL rather than directX too, and even a lot of windows games use openGL instead of, or in combination with DirectX.
Publication has an opinion - nobody can trust them anymore?
Their writing team consists of people, not robots. People with contacts across the industry who by and large are being negative about the X1 for legitimate reasons.
Also note Edge is a UK mag and there are different implications for the X1 in this territory.
I certainly have no memory of that time and my games magazine collection spans back to 1988.. There has always been platform posturing and hype.
I agree it has got a lot worse the last couple of generations though, mostly due to the echo chamber of the Internet and the fan bases having sway in the content that's written for them. ("We" get the journalism we deserve, sadly)
Yeah i noticed that. It was dripping with spoilers.
Luckily we've all finished it already.. But I'd be annoyed if TV spoilered games. Jeez.
I actually quite like the design, but the lack of optical is a deal breaker for me.. Seriously? How many people's surround set-ups depend on that being there?! Mine certainly does. Pfft. It's not like it costs much to add either.. One of the stupidest bits of feature cutting I've seen in a supposedly "upgraded" hardware revision.
Oculus Rift should work providing you have working eyes and a brain that processes depth perception.
Even at their best - Colour based 3D (anaglyph) setups don't work brilliantly for anyone, this is a totally different, much better thing. This is more akin to looking through a pair of goggles and having the illusion of actually being there.
I hope so! I hope they come up with an agreement for proper OR support rather than reinventing the wheel. With all the PC debs promising or adding support, it'd be silly to force them to have to rewrite everything.
Maybe sony could be a OR partner though and make their own different looking version of the headset. It'd be a shame if the big companies took the idea and ran off with it. Supporting the original has a lot less risk involved if it doesn't sell much tho...
Wow this is really bad news if true. I'd imagine there has been a lot of demand in Germany (and places like Aus) for uncut foreign versions. Again, bad choice ms
Meanwhile, the ps4 is region free...
I thought you had to plug the ps3 into the other port on the elgato. I doubt they've disabled HDCP on the PS4. May be cause for concern. :(
Sports are games though with winning and losing states. This is a series of personal electronics purchases against a backdrop where multiple companies can thrive without any issue. Ideally having one platform holder decimate the other isn't necessarily in the consumers interest, and that's what the fanboys seem to drool over.
When people treat it like a sport it's not even *that* bad, it's when people make out like the fate of the world hangs in the balance th...
Yeah, the arguments are pretty pointless. I'm assuming MS are going to have some good games this gen too, so it's always going to be legitimate to own the machine with the games and features you like, regardless of what platform is "better", or more powerful.
I'm likely to stick to Sony unless MS do something really exciting.
The disdain people have for others who make different choices is pretty gross. Even if you think they're mis...
They act a lot like zombies.. And there are numerous definitions of zombie, some including still living hosts.
Back on point though, regardless of whether you consider it a zombie game or not (its just semantics - people tend to consider 28 days later a zombie movie when it has a similar central concept) we definitely need more games like this. There's absolutely nothing dirty or wrong about a game mimicking or being zombie media, they've proven to be an amazing story...
I have 50-100 I've not played, lol. I'm as much a collector as I am a player I guess. It's going to take a miracle to cut through the backlog.
I want a gorilla suit filled with candy! :O
Ooh! Unexpected good news! It was beautiful on PS3 already but the frame rate was a bit wonky sometimes.
Ill probably wait until its in a Steam sale. :D
That seems like the perfect way to doom the console. XD
