For the amount of money you'd end up spending - you could get an HD tv with insane picture quality.
Early adopters are a vital part of the market, but personally i think most of them are a bit crazy. 4k displays are going to drop in price very quickly over the next year or two. And they'll be better displays too.
Let's not forget Shadow Of The Beast. Thats been announced but everyone forgets about it. I adored the original trilogy as a kid.. Im more curious about that than most of the rest of the games tbh!

Actually im pretty non-denominational when it comes to gaming but Sony have been my go-to first choice for console stuff since the ps1 and Soul Blade/FF7.
I almost always buy digital now but ill have to get some physical just to have a shelf of these. Hmm!
I think its a shame none of the big 3 have come up with a way to use reformed paper/card to make tough but recyclable cases, for environmental reasons. I have game boxes 20 years old made of paper/card in perfect condition.. If someone actually spent the time/money coming up with a moulding system im sure it could look nice.

Although MS have EA's ear right now, I think EA are probably in bed with both Sony and MS, and we'll see them jumping back and forth between the two over the next gen.
Even if they're a bit slower on the Sony side, timed exclusives have never bothered me.. If the spec speculation is right too, the later versions for ps4 should be both technically superior and benefitting of any bug-fixes that the x1 version received.

With a bit of thought the PC has been on the big screen in many gamers households since hdmi became ta standard. Sometimes before! I played halflife2 through like this in SD.. (Not sure why)

Does anyone know if the PS:Move and sharpshooter will be supported this time? They made such a big deal out of it in KZ3 and it worked pretty well.. With the stereo camera etc it should be even more accurate?
Meh, he deserves it. Shopto's claim that Amazon avoid paying taxes is completely true. Smaller retailers shouldn't be expected to price match them as they'd go out of business. I have no problem supporting them even if theres a small price difference. Usually shoptos prices are good.
They wouldn't choose not to compete on price, and such an important part of their inventory will have had thought put into its pricing.
I wonder if anyones ever going to try competing with ms for the garish, attention grabbing colour schemes? It makes good marketing sense for MS.. But it would be funny if eventually someone uses bright red, or orange, or hot pink to elevate their visibility in stores.
X1 support would make more sense later. You don't want your rereleased fighting game available on the same day as another NEW fighting game, even if its F2P. Killer Instinct will get the day one fighter action (and dlc money).. Wait until that's died down or been critically panned or whatever - THEN you announce the X1 version?

The animation when characters get close and start waving weapons around is glitchy as hell, i hope they can fix it a bit before launch.
I dunno, the yellowish tint is something that happens a lot in real life depending on season and the position of sun/cloud cover. Things arent colour calibrated to RGB white in reality. The forza shots are definitely more atmospheric as a result.
They both look great though, especially given the old hardware.

Im actually surprised the reaction across the board for both consoles from the press hasnt been more "meh" - it must be hard not to get jaded when they have to jump through the same hoops again and again to have access to very limited content. I dont rhink the users' experience will be much like the journalists'.
