She’s not ugly at all. What the heck are you even talking about?
Don’t even know if she’s any sort of “normal human” either. Whatever she’s like she’s a hell of a lot more relatable than you are.
The dad stuff wasn’t entirely her fault.. She was given outlines she had to flesh out and not full freedom. from the article…:
“ And there were things that we kind of butted heads more on, particularly with Rise [of the Tomb Raider] because I wasn't a fan of the dad plot. I didn't really like her motivation being her father because it felt like that's often the motivation given to female characters and it's also motivation that's very prominent in the p...
Who is “they” and what does that have to do with this article anyway? Lol
I mean it’s one thing convincing some people to go see a movie, but to have people also consider the work *good* helps.
This is one of the first times something like this has been mainstream successful and also critically .. actually good. The Resi movies were ass.
That’s a very reductive summary of what the episode will be, haha.
Anyone whose opinion is in any way affected by the canonically gay game character being gay in the adaptation is someone who’s opinion, and likely most of their opinions - can be entirely ignored.
Even moreso people who ball at there being gay people in anything.. Why is that even an issue?
I hate that people would complain about 6hr campaign, if it’s a good 6 hr campaign that has a well paced story/setting that’s a lot better than a needlessly long one. Hopefully it means less filler, and more impactful individual scenarios.
There are a ton of places/situations in games I remember super clearly, the more you stretch things out and make them repetitive the less striking they *can* become, and this is a very design heavy game.. if you see 3 million of the same ...
Someone doesn’t know what a religion even is.
I liked multiple characters and how their stories intertwined.. I would’ve hated, for example - playing as Trevor for the entire campaign, he’s really too extreme to be a singular protagonist, but it’s fun to play as him - for a while..
I do think they could do a lot with the format if they concentrate on the writing. An ensemble cast but with more contradictory goals would be really nice to see.
I think this isn’t entirely true, just PT-looking ones get noticed and elevated because they’re easily marketable..
There are so many indie survival horror (and other horror genre) games around, or in development, a bunch with different camera setups and gameplay.
Although it’s never perfect without the hardware, controllers etc.. This is where emulation becomes a lifesaver. So many games would be completely lost to time if it wasn’t for projects like MAME.
Particularly if the console makers aren’t doing backward compatibility, it’s great the emulation scene picks up the slack. PS3 emulation is great now..
Stuff like genshin impact is definitely games*, and you really don’t have to *buy* loot boxes.. despite the economy depending on them.
*not saying they’re good or bad but a lot of people enjoy them.
Tbh it’s possible they’ve experimented with implementation but they’ll not be in the final release..
Remember when everyone was up in arms about the Sims4 subscription model that turned out to not be a thing in the end.. (though kind of hilariously it probably would have saved a lot of players money anyway considering the number of expansions now..)
It’s not unheard of, and learning new things isn’t always that steep of a curve. Studios switch engines already sometimes anyway, for all sorts of reasons.
Funny how hypocritical you guys are. It has gay relationship.. “nobody cares if someone’s gay!!!! Just put it in but not make a big deal about it!” You say, but how would you react if a game came out and then surprised you with a largely gay storyline? This isn’t waving it in your face, it’s just a somewhat different plot. You can’t say it makes no functional difference, just based on your own reaction to it.
You’re saying you don’t want gay storylines to exist at all. You ...
Behindtherows: the “usually” took Detroit into consideration. Detroit is the only game they’ve made with even half competent writing.
Until Dawn was also goofy B-movie shlock, that’s the whole genre they’re going for.
At least they usually write better than Quantic Dream.. 😅
“Has a world map” isn’t necessarily the same as open world. FF7 for example isn’t open world.. Nor are the older games. You still did the gameplay in a relatively linear order and the core gameplay wasn’t in the world map it was inside locations you get to from the world map.
FF12 was touted at the time as the first open world FF.. the definition might have changed since then, or mean different things to different people?
“Independent area based game” cou...
Giger had a ton of different colour palettes.. this does look kind of hazy though, I see what you mean about the lack of blacks and highlights, I imagine they think it’s more atmospheric this way. Can probably mess around with shaders to make it look more like his airbrush pics.
Only way that really makes sense is if it’s not a major overhaul..
I’d hope they address stuff at a lower level to have things more flexible (like paralives is doing) there’d be no point launching a new system with a bunch of legacy content that doesn’t support the new features.
I’d also like to see a new animation and lighting system, and bigger areas, which doesn’t seem like the sort of thing that’d be compatible with reusing content, and, love it or ha...
I mean, she leaps straight at the giant robot at the end.. 😅
