I'm a big fan of the RE movies (well, the second one was a bit of a letdown).
But then I've never spent much time playing any of the games (a few hours combined in 4 and 5 is all it amounts to), and I don't really need or expect more from an action movie than some good mindless fun and great SFX/CGI. Add a sexy, kickass heroine - or two - to the mix and we have a winner.

It also didn't hurt that RE: Afterlife remains the most impressive - though cer...

The game doesn't find my Logitech G25 wheel.

But I just found the post on the EU Playstation blog saying that the update apparently won't be up until "after maintenance" Friday morning.
I just got a 1.04 patch when I loaded up the game though, but I guess that must have been the previous one?

The Japanese frequently scare the crap out of me :).

I've actually just restarted Alpha Protocol last night (PC version). I only got a handful of hours into it when I originally bought it, but despite bugs and a few questionable design choices here and there, I certainly don't remember my limited time in the game being because I didn't like it - just other things getting in the way at the time.

So much for the PS3 having enough power to run remakes in 3D without trade-offs. I've started playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and the framerate is decidedly shaky in 3D mode with frequent drops into what looks like the mid to low 20s fps.

How about that PS4? :)

It's great that so many of these recent HD remakes get the steroscopic 3D treatment as well. Even better as they don't suffer the same performance issues or visual trade-offs most of the regular 3D PS3 games do because of the aging hardware.

I'm just about to start playing the just released Spliter Cell: Chaos Theory HD, I hope the 3D is worth enabling - it certainly was in Prince of Persia: Two Thrones.

You say Russian prostitute like it's a bad thing? :)
If you're looking for the highest number of beautiful women per square mile, you probably can't pick a better place than Eastern Europe (well, Scandinavia is up there as well, but being Danish I don't like to brag about the local sights :p).

I imagine it must be annoying to watch your friends gawk at your mom all the time? :)

It's just one guy with a whole lot of time on his hands :p.

Perhaps it's time I gave PS Home another look - I haven't logged in since the day it was first publicly released. I have little interest in the social aspects of it, but it sounds like there might be some games and other activities in Home these days that might be worth trying out?

They all look pretty terrible to me, the only one that's passable is no. 5.
Not that it matters as I'll be sticking with the FemShep I made for ME2 anyway (I think I used the default FemShep in ME1, couldn't get a decent result with the character generator back then if I recall correctly).

I'm glad they picked Emily Rose for the role - I just finished watching last night's new episode of Haven, and Emily was great as usual. Beautiful voice and beautiful looks.

That said, I'm a big Claudia Black fan as well, but Elena really wasn't the right role for her.

It seems like we aren't as lucky on the EU store. I wonder how long we'll have to wait for it.

And 100% of gamers who own a 3D TV (well, at least me :p) want a console that actually has the power to run the most graphically intensive games in 3D without more or less severe visual trade-offs (I'm looking at you Killzone 3. And several others).

Bring on the PS4 please.

I think I'll buy this on Steam tonight. I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to playing Poker (or any card games in general), but from what I can gather from the trailer and a few game previews, it should be easy enough to pick up the basics. And I get the impression that this game is only very loosely based on Poker rules anyway?

Being able to list the names of five pornstars is creepy?
Damn, I better not post my list of favourites then - and I actually feel I've been keeping it short in recent years :p.

100 years more playtime per player? I didn't even think the PS3 existed in 1911?

Most of the time - but that's obviously not during major sales - I actually find download speeds from Steam perfectly acceptable. I usually get 2-4 MB/s, although I certainly wouldn't complain if I could instead have my 50 Mbit connection maxed out at 6 MB/s as I do from some other online services and sites.

So I was the only one hoping for a little Milla Jovovich on Ali Larter action in the two latest Resident Evil movies? :p

For me the death of prolonged handheld activity of any kind (yeah, yeah, I know I was just begging for dirty jokes with that one) is going to be neck pain.

Like my iPod Touch and rarely used PSP before it, I find that sessions lasting longer than 15-20 minutes with my new Android phone - particularly if I have to make use of both hands and the phone in a horizontal position, as common for games - are anything but relaxing for my neck, shoulders and upper back, even though I...

I'm surprised to see The Hunter on that list. Not because it doesn't deserve it, but because a pretty hardcore hunting simulation isn't exactly something I would expect to see on a list like this.
I've had a subscription for several months (playing for free only gives you access to one area) and it's been worth it for a few virtual nature trips a week. Particularly after the latest two hunting zone additions (the last one was huge) and the black bear and moose. ...
