I've only bought four games there over the last year or so, but the unlocks for all of them have pretty much been right on the minute at Midnight on release days - ie. some 16-20+ hours before they would be available on Steam (and 10 hours before stores open if I had wanted a physical disc copy).

Additionally download speeds from the EA store have been pretty remarkable - it's one of the few services or sites I use that has fairly consistently maxed out my 50 Mbit c...

I'm still waiting for my damn pre-order from the EA store to become available.
They have a March 30 release date showing (Denmark) and the EA store usually unlock games exactly at Midnight local time, which was six and a half hours ago, but the game is not even available for preloading yet.

Well, hopefully it will be there later today - it's too late (or early :)) to start playing now anyway.

I just finished the DLC ten minutes ago. It wasn't as good as Lair of the Shadow Broker (but then that was unusually great for DLC), but I still enjoyed The Arrival enough to give it perhaps a 7/10.

I've seen claims of there being 45-60 minutes of gameplay in The Arrival, and I'm sure that will be the case for some of the combat "pros" (I've marveled at some of the YouTube videos showing what some people can do in ME2 on insanity difficulty), but i...

I finally started playing Killzone 3 multiplayer a few days ago, and I'm just so much better and more confident with Move + Nav Controller (just holding one in each hand without any fancy plastic attachments) than I've ever been with a gamepad in shooters.

Granted, that's still far from great :p, but my aim is much more accurate and quicker with Move (lining up shoots quickly with the analogue sticks on a gamepad has just never come easily to me) - and I don'...

Shorter first person shooters?! Unless you're a multiplayer fan (which is admittedly why I buy shooters), the FPS genre already seems to - on average - be saddled with the shortest singleplayer campaigns of just about any genre.

He was clearly an imposter either way - everyone knows Commander Shepard is a woman :).

The previous story based ME2 DLC - Lair of the Shadow Broker - is one of the best pieces of DLC I've ever had the pleasure of buying for any game (and I quite enjoyed the Kasumi DLC as well), so if this is anywhere near as good it's a must buy in my opinion, whether or not it's actually all that important in bridging the gap between ME2 and ME3 from a story perspective.

My eyes had some trouble adjusting and finding a relaxed way to focus through the first hour or so of Avatar at the cinema (my first proper experience with 3D, aside from some past exposures to the terrible anaglyph variation), but I've had absolutely no problems with the other 3D movies I've seen at the cinema since - even Resident Evil: Afterlife that had some truly extreme and potentially nausea inducing (but also insanely impressive) 3D effects at times.

The sam...

I'm paying DKK 360 (~USD 68) for a 50 down/5 up Mbit cable connection here in Denmark. And Denmark doesn't exactly have a reputation for being among the cheapest countries in the world when it comes to... well, just about anything really.

No bandwith caps (I'm a "heavy" user, the bandwidth monitor I have running on my PC shows my combined down/up traffic as 500+ Gigabyte every month) and no throttling on any ports at any time of the day that I've n...

They don't even sell the MS wheel anymore? Damn.
As a racing game fan for almost twenty years - and a sim racing fan for the last ten of those (going through three different Logitech wheels) - I just can't wrap my head around a situation like this.

It's great if Fanatec still makes their 360 supported wheel, but I imagine it's not exactly in the lower price range? Meaning relatively few are probably tempted to make it their first wheel.

360 gamers are rather starved for choices when it comes to steering wheels - for all racing games.
Do Fanatec still make their 360 wheel or is the cheapish official plastic 360 wheel the only option these days?

I don't have a 360 anymore (my Logitech G25 is serving double duty for my PC and PS3) but I think it's downright criminal of Microsoft not to do something about this situation. I'm having a very hard time believing it's Logitech that doesn...

I'm sure some people would say "Dragon Age 2" as a counterargument :) (personally I found DA:O and DA2 roughly equally 8/10ish - though for slightly different reasons).

ME2 was an 10/10 in my book though - and ME1 pretty close to that as well - so I allow myself to optimistically expect BioWare not to screw up the final chapter.

I just bought the PC version of Crysis 2 on Steam a few hours ago, and I almost can't believe how ridiculously difficult it is for me to hit what I try to aim at - both in singleplayer and the two multiplayer matches I've tried so far (where I managed to score a combined grand total of... zero kills :)).

I've been a PC gamer since the early 90s - only turning part time console gamer a few years ago - and spend around 6+ hours a day in front of a PC, so it's ...

I was also about to comment on the rather odd choice of using concept art to back up claims about graphics fidelity.
The third of the widescreen images is the only one that looks like it might be a screenshot - and frankly I don't think it's all that impressive, at least not on its own, though perhaps it might prove to be depending on the scale of the game.

... I'm just checking out a YouTube video now - a "tech demo" of the game, and it does ...

I'm downloading Crysis 2 from Steam right now. I've never really played shooters much on PC, and being a mediocre FPS player on consoles (and that's being generous towards myself :p) I imagine I'll be in for a rather rough time.

I played BF:BC2 briefly on PC last year, and I just couldn't believe how much faster the pace was and how much more fierce the competition than in the console shooters I had played - which also included the PS3 version of the sam...

BD and DVD speeds are not comparable by simply looking at the rotation speeds. They read data in different ways depending on their location on the disc.

But in most cases the DVD drive in the 360 is indeed faster than the BD drive in the PS3 - but very far from the twelve times faster you might be tempted to infer from those rotation speeds.

"PlayStation 3 owners who are planning on picking up the racer will need to wait more than at least six minutes for it to install."

Nooo! However will those poor, poor people survive the horror?

What a ridiculous article.

Not for those who had hoped for a great PS Move tennis game.
If the Top Spin 4 demo is anything to go by (and from what I've read the final game is no different), Move implementation feels like an incredibly lazy afterthought with only rudimentary gesture controls rather than 1:1 motion tracking.

Let's hope Virtua Tennis 4 does a better job. Even if turns out to be "the lesser" game if played with a gamepad, much better Move implementation could s...

As much as I'm looking forward to Shift 2, how the hell could anyone in their right mind consider it "the best sim ever" when the likes of iRacing, netKar Pro, LFS and similar exist?

I even doubt it will turn out to be the best sim ever on consoles - although I suspect it might be more fun and certainly more thrilling than GT and Forza, and just like Shift 1 did, I also expect Shift 2 to very broadly fall within the same group of "semi-sims" as GT an...

Wheel support in an ultra fast and chaotic arcade racer like this?
I'm certainly looking forward to giving it a try with my Logitech G25, but I'm sort of having doubts that it will play very well.
